Development Underwriter - Casualty
Circa 60k + Bonus
Reporting into Manchester covering North West / Leeds.
IPS are working with a global brand, which has a significant presence across the UK. It is committed to growing and continually developing its Casualty proposition across the UK, specifically within the mid-market space.
Due to the above, they are therefore seeking an experienced New Business Underwriter in Manchester or Leeds.
In this position, you will have the chance to drive successful growth by dealing with complex risks with premiums ranging from 10k-100k and be responsible for handling predominantly new business as well as some renewals. You will be working closely with the wider development team targeting certain areas and support less-experienced underwriters' direction, coaching, and training.
If you are an Underwriter who relishes the broker relationship management piece, thrives on successfully developing and growing your business, this will particularly appeal to you. You will need to have established key broker relationships whilst also increasing your broker network forming new connections within the region to create new business.
We are looking to speak to individuals that have proven underwriting experience within casualty at either an Insurer or MGA that is looking to deal with both new business and be visible in the market. You will be rewarded with a competitive salary which includes expenses & bonus with flexibility to work within the Manchester Office and at home.
