Qualifications and Training For Psychologists Post-graduate doctoral level training in Clinical Psychology (or its equivalent for those trained prior to 1996) or Counselling Psychology as accredited by the BPS &/or HCPC, including specifically models of psychopathology, clinical psychometrics and neuropsychology, two or more distinct psychological therapies and lifespan developmental psychology. Post-doctoral training in the supervision of trainee Clinical Psychologists or Counselling Psychologists. HCPC Registration as a Clinical Psychologist or Counselling Psychologist. The post holder will be required to work closely with multiple departments and external agencies and share information with wider multi-disciplinary team members as required. E.g. when moving and handling wheelchairs, accessories for wheelchairs, orthoses and devices. This can be multiple times a day Raising orders of wheelchair and orthotic equipment and monitoring these orders. Contacting patients to arrange delivery of equipment ahead of the appointment or ensuring they are delivered to the collect location. Contact with patient an also be to cancel appointments. These can be emotional conversations so excellent verbal communication skills are essential to be able to handle these conversations. The post holder will be expected to work closely with the team to deliver the day to day activities that ensure service users assessed requirements are met in a timely manner Be able to plan and mange tasks and time to meet the demands of the service.
