Trainee Substance Misuse Worker

We have an exciting opportunity at Derby Drug and Alcohol Recovery Service for someone who is passionate about beginning a career in the substance misuse sector.
We are looking for a Trainee Substance Misuse Practitioner. As a trainee, the role will involve developing the skill set, knowledge and competencies to become a Substance Misuse Practitioner, via a mixture of training, coaching and practice- based learning.
This role is based in a busy community drug and alcohol service. This role will be based at St Andrews House in Derby City, working 37.5 hours per week, Monday-Friday.
The Service
Working in partnership with Derbyshire Healthcare Foundation Trust based in St Andrews House Derby with free on-site parking. We provide community support for people with drug and alcohol problems. We offer advice and guidance, one-to-ones and group sessions, support from harm reduction nurses, prescription services, and needle exchange.
