Land Manager

Randstad are looking for a Land Manager to work in Leeds on a temporary basis for at least 3 months. The right candidate must have experience in pre-construction land and planning processes. Largely self-sufficient role, with the ability to source land opportunities and
instruct consultants/development team regarding the legal, planning, development and commercial constraints of any proposal.
The role can be full time, 3 to 4 days a week or/and hybrid.
Location: Leeds
Start: ASAP
Rate: £330-£370 per day Umbrella (PAYE available)
Duration: at least 3 months
Hours: 8:30am-5pm Monday to Friday, part time will also be considered
Site: some working from home available (hybrid working)
Role
- Negotiate and agree heads of terms and work with our external panel solicitors to negotiate the relevant land contracts
- Appoint, brief and manage our external architects and engineers to prepare feasibility layouts which are efficient and deliverable.
- Work with our estimators to develop and maintain viability appraisal.
- Scope out and commission the relevant surveys and reports to inform due diligence processes and feed in to the proposed planning applications.
- Feed in to/prepare approval papers, liaising with relevant departments within the BU and across the Group.
- Communicate with clients
- Support other site teams such a planners, surveyors and operations.
Requirements
- Experience in a similar role
- Computer literate
- Professional manner
- Experience in dealing with confidential and legal documents
- Relevant qualifications desirable
