- Conducts onsite investigations to assess crop insurance program compliance.
- Performs investigations to substantiate alleged or suspected instances or patterns of noncompliance.
- Participates in negotiations with persons whose activities have been found to be at odds with agency guidelines.
- Conducts analysis of reports required of individuals and re-insured companies engaged in crop insurance activities to assess their compliance with mandatory guidelines.
- Explains and promotes the regulatory/compliance program to those whose activities are subject to it, as well as to the general public.
- Serve as an investigator with responsibility to conduct on-site reviews and evaluations of Re-insured Companies and general Risk Management program operations to ensure compliance with FCIC approved policies, procedures and guidelines.
- Assist senior investigators in reviewing problems, controversies or alleged or suspected irregularities in claim inspections and payments.
