Job title: Senior Nuclear Consultant
Job type: Permanent
Start date: ASAP - Subject to clearance
Salary/ Pay rate/ Benefits: £70,000-£80,000 per year + 12.5% bonus + £6,120 car allowance
Hours of work: 37 hours per week
Applicants must posses the following:
- Degree qualified in Engineering/Physical science disciplines; Electrical, Mechanical, Physics, Chemistry etc
- Nuclear industry and regulations knowledge
- Engineering lifecycle experience
- Proven experience justifying change in design
- Previous nuclear site experience
Ideally applicants should also have:
- Technical report writing skills
- Presentation skills
Role information:
- Act as the safety engineering lead
- Provide advice and recommendations through analysis to improve the safety engineering performance and delivery of departmental outputs
- Facilitate the build and commissioning delivery programme though innovative engineering solutions and problem solving
- Ensure design intent is maintained during the build and commissioning phases
- Support assessment of design changes
- Write and present reports to internal and external stakeholders on all matters relating to nuclear safety
