The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a talented DevOps Engineer with a focus on automation to join our growing team based out of our Stoke on Trent site.

The ideal candidate will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining automated processes to enhance the efficiency, reliability, and scalability of our cloud-based infrastructure and services.

Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Lead the design, development, and implementation of automation solutions for deployment, monitoring, and management of cloud infrastructure and services.
Drive the continuous improvement of automation practices to streamline development workflows and enhance release processes.
Champion the implementation and management of CI/CD pipelines to automate software delivery and ensure continuous integration and deployment.
Develop and maintain infrastructure as code (IaC) using tools such as Terraform, Ansible, or Puppet, with a focus on automation.
Implement and manage containerisation technologies such as Docker and Kubernetes for deploying and scaling applications, emphasising automation.
Collaborate closely with cross-functional teams to integrate automation into all aspects of the software development lifecycle.
Monitor system performance and troubleshoot issues proactively to ensure high availability, reliability, and performance of cloud-based services.
Stay updated with industry trends and best practices in automation, DevOps, and cloud technologies, and drive their adoption within the organisation.

Education and Experience Requirements

As the DevOps Engineer (Automation) you will have:

Minimum of 2 years' experience in a similar role with a strong focus on automation.
Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or related field would be beneficial.
Proficiency in scripting and programming languages such as Python, Bash, or PowerShell, with a strong emphasis on automation.
Experience with cloud platforms such as AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud Platform, with a focus on automating infrastructure deployment and management.
Strong background in configuration management tools such as Ansible, Puppet, or Chef, with an emphasis on automation.
Experience with CI/CD tools such as Jenkins, GitLab CI/CD, or CircleCI, with a focus on automating software delivery pipelines.
Knowledge of containerisation and orchestration tools such as Docker, Kubernetes, or OpenShift, with an emphasis on automation.
Excellent troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, with a proactive approach to automation-driven issue resolution.
Strong communication and collaboration skills with the ability to work effectively in a team environment.


UK Security Check (SC) clearance is required for this position.

The Role

Here at SecureCloud+ we are seeking a Security Assurance Coordinator (SAC) at our Stoke site.

As the Security Assurance Coordinator, your primary responsibility will be to oversee and manage security assurance activities within the organisation. This entails coordinating efforts to ensure compliance with HMG’s security classification system while delivering innovative, cost-effective, and profitable solutions.

The role will involve two main areas: Information Assurance and Information Security. Your responsibilities include implementing measures to protect and safeguard critical company information and systems, ensuring integrity, availability, authentication, confidentiality, and non-repudiation. Additionally, you'll work to prevent unauthorised access, usage, disclosure, alteration, disruption, and destruction of information and systems, all aimed at achieving data integrity, availability, and confidentiality objectives.



Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Coordinate security accreditation and assurance processes for new and enhanced services.
Support the completion of IT Health Checks (ITHC), MOD assurance activities, and JSP processes.
Support junior members of the information security team.
Maintain the Information Security Management System (ISMS) including Risk Management and Accreditation Document Sets (RMADS) and Company Security Policies.
Identify and manage risks to the Company's information security, collaborating with the Senior Information Security Manager.
Plan and execute information security compliance activities, including monitoring Information Assurance and coordinating protective security activities.
Act as Incident Manager during security incidents, coordinating business recovery/contingency plans and investigations.
Support the delivery of the Company’s Information Security awareness, education, and training programme.
Coordinate with suppliers, consultants, and service providers on security matters.
Represent information security on relevant project workgroups and boards, and ensure compliance through continual audit and policy review.
Conduct security exercises and oversee follow-up actions.


Education and Experience Requirements

As the Security Assurance Coordinator you will have:

Working towards or qualified in CISSP/CISA/CISM is desirable, or equivalent professional experience.
Experience in risk and regulatory frameworks and standards such as NIST, ISO27001, MOD JSP440, JSP604.
Proven track record in Information Security and Assurance.
Initiative, pro-activity, and strong teamwork skills.
Flexibility to adapt to changing organisational requirements.
Excellent communication skills to influence employee behavior and perceptions.
Proficiency in leveraging technology for effective security solutions.
Experience in managed service environments, with awareness of ITIL best practices.


UK Developed Vetting (DV) clearance is required for this position. Candidates must possess or be eligible to obtain DV clearance.

Experience with stock control, inventory management, and/or purchasing.
Experience in customer service or receptionist duties is advantageous.
Proficiency in basic maintenance tasks such as plumbing, electrical work, carpentry, and painting.
Familiarity with inventory management software or systems for tracking stock levels and orders.

Role Responsibilities

Key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

Develop comprehensive test plans, strategies, and test cases based on project requirements and specifications, ensuring adequate coverage of functional and non-functional requirements.
Lead and coordinate the execution of test cases, including functional testing, performance testing, and user acceptance testing (UAT), to validate the quality and stability of services.
Identify opportunities for test automation and develop automated test scripts using appropriate tools and frameworks, streamlining the testing process and improving efficiency.
Manage the end-to-end defect lifecycle, including defect identification, logging, prioritisation, tracking, and resolution, collaborating with development teams to ensure timely resolution of issues.

As the Test Lead you will have:

Bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, or a related field would be beneficial.
Relevant certifications in system and/or software testing (e.g., ISTQB, CSTE) would be beneficial.
Proven experience with a minimum of 3 years in operation testing, with a focus on component and systems testing.
Significant experience in security compliance in Defence environment.
Strong understanding of testing principles, methodologies, and best practices, including test planning, execution, automation, and defect management.
Hands-on experience with test automation tools and frameworks, such as Selenium, Appium, JUnit, TestNG, or similar tools.
Proficiency in programming/scripting languages commonly used in test automation, such as Java, Python, or JavaScript.
Excellent leadership and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively lead and motivate a testing team, foster collaboration, and resolve conflicts.
Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities, with keen attention to detail and a proactive mindset towards identifying and addressing potential issues.

Strong technical proficiency in deploying Dell VxRail architecture, features, and capabilities, including software-defined storage, virtualization, and compute resources.
Experience with VMware vSphere and vSAN technologies, including installation, configuration, and management.
Be competent in the configuration and deployment of a variety of windows servers/applications.
Excellent problem-solving and troubleshooting skills, with the ability to diagnose and resolve complex technical issues.
