We are seeking to appoint an Examinations Officer to join our MEA Central community.

The appointee will be responsible for all aspects of the organisation of internal and external examinations, including the recruitment, training and deployment of invigilators and the security of examination papers, in line with JCQ requirements; and the effective distribution of certificates.

This is a permanent role, working 35 hours per week, term time only plus 5 additional training days. The salary is Grade 6 which reflects a full-time equivalent salary of £32,115. The pro-rata salary is £27,623.

You will assist in the responsibility for maintenance, security and facilities management services on our school sites and premises.

This is a Grade 5, permanent post working 35 hours per week, all year round. The starting salary is £28,163.

Main purpose of the job:

• Support the Site Manager by taking responsibility for the management of the school site and associated facilities under an agreed system of supervision, taking responsibility for the management and development of specialist facilities services within the school.
• To be a responsible key holder and manage maintenance, security and facilities systems on site including alarm systems, CCTV and surveillance systems.
• Manage other estates staff including allocation and monitoring of work and performance appraisal and supervision of external contractors on site.
• To be responsible for maintaining the cleanliness and physical appearance/environment of the designated site – inside and out, including maintenance of specialist facilities and equipment following appropriate training, where applicable.
• Ensure that the premises operate to a high standard of health and safety and that all relevant regulations are implemented and adhered to at all times.

• Alongside the Quality of Education team lead the development of excellent teaching and curriculum development for all pupils to support the delivery of outstanding progress for students with SEND
• Plan strategically and co-ordinate the day-to-day operation of the academy’s SEND policy including ensuring early identification of need and a whole school graduated approach.

What skills and experience we're looking for

We currently have an exciting opportunity for a Cover Supervisor and Sports Coach to proactively supervise and support students within the classroom, providing stability and continuity for pupils whose lessons are affected by staff absence. Working under the direction of the Curriculum Leader, this role will also support the planning and delivery of a high quality extra-curricular sports programme, and so a sports coaching qualification or equivalent would be desirable (although not essential). Experience of working with young people is a must, with suitable candidates being able to demonstrate the ability to motivate and enthuse others, and be firm but fair in a classroom situation.
