Home to the Ladies European Tour and nestled on the green banks of the River Colne, our championship hosting golf course and exquisitely renovated 17th century house with bedrooms is a naturally beautiful destination for business and pleasure, where members delight in being expected.

A bit about what you will do...

• Take full responsibility for all accounting duties to ensure the effective and smooth running of the Club
• Develop a strong understanding of how the business operates and the underlying financial drivers
• Maintain all accounting records as per finance policy
• Monitor and mitigate risk by ensuring a robust control environment and personally carrying out checks and assessments with a view to enhance controls
• Take full ownership for the preparation of the monthly management accounts
• Prepare timely, focused, and value-adding narrative and analysis of the monthly results and present them to senior team members at the Club and in Central Finance
• Ensure the balance sheet is a fair reflection of the assets and liabilities of the Club. Ensure all balance sheet accounts are reconciled monthly and are fully supported with backup and all variance explained
• Prepare VAT returns and other relevant tax submissions where necessary
• Oversee and manage the accounts receivable, accounts payable and deferred income processes to ensure debtor and creditor days are within acceptable values while optimising working capital
• Manage the future cash needs of the Club through accurate weekly cash flow forecasts
• Assist with the preparation of full-year forecasts and the annual budget
• Support preparation of year end statutory accounts and assist in the audit process
• Provide daily support to the BGC Accounts Assistant and wider finance support and training to other departments at the Club as required.
• Support change management and process improvement project to improve efficiency at the Club

More about you...

• Part or Full Qualified Accountant, ACA. ACCA, CIMA.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office products such as Excel & Word
• Knowledge of Microsoft Dynamics finance package is advantageous
• Experience in management accounting, ideally in the hospitality industry
• Experience reviewing and analysing data with excellent attention to detail
• Organised and methodical with strong time management and planning skills
• Strong communication skills both in writing and orally with business partnering experience
• Proactive and demonstrates initiative
• Curious with skills in problem solving and process improvement
• Take pride in their own work and is confident delivering responsibilities with minimum supervision
• A team player who is helpful, enthusiastic and able to work well with others

PGA Trainee Professional

An incredible opportunity has become available to join Buckinghamshire Golf Club as a PGA Trainee Professional. This is a great opportunity to join a newly refurbished golf club in Buckinghamshire.

You will be an efficient self-starter who has excellent attention to detail, team spirit, ability to work well under pressure while displaying fantastic member service skills.

Duties as a PGA Trainee Professional:

• Assist the Director of Golf and Golf Operations Manager, with all aspects of the daily golf operations.
• Promote the game of golf and the club itself.
• Assist with the organisation and roll out of all competitions and tournaments at the club.
• Assist the Golf Operations Manager with the daily operation of the shop.
• Build a strong sense of community with the members.
• Liaise with Greenkeeping on course set-up for major tournaments.
• Complete the PGA Foundation Degree
• Teach the game of golf, its rules and etiquette.
• Compete in PGA Regional Tournaments
• Stay up to date with PGA studies and membership education requirements with the PGA of Great Britain & Ireland.
• Actively work to greet members and guests by name, getting to know their personal preferences. Display professional and competent personality to all members and guests.
• Assist the Golf Staff with all aspects of competitions and tournaments.
• Assist Director of Golf to enforce all rules and regulations governing golf course usage.
• Assist with Club Fittings and Demo Days.
• Assist in making tee time reservations whilst ensuring optimal golf course usage.
• Work closely with the Pro Shop Manager to ensure the Shop is fully stock, well presented and gives a seamless experience for members
• Play golf with members on a regular basis

• Previous work experience in a golf environment is preferred.
• Excellent written and verbal communication, interpersonal and customer service skills.
• Highly organized, results-oriented with the ability to be flexible and work well under pressure.
• Fluency in English

The Buckinghamshire Golf Club are looking for an passionate and experienced Food & Beverage Director to oversee the smooth running of the F&B Operation. A natural leader who has a experience in luxury hospitality and delivering five-star service to its guests, and ability to lead a team through guidance and training.

Duties and Responsibilities

• Monitor the division’s performance and service standards by analysing of guest feedback and financial results, and initiate corrective action as needed.
• Develop and implement strategies to enhance guest satisfaction and loyalty.
• Prepare and monitor the annual Food and Beverage operating budget, focusing on controlling expenses and ensure targets and objectives are met.
• Ensure the security of all credit and financial transactions across the outlets, continually reviewing and adjusting procedures as necessary.
• Identify opportunities to increase profits and create value by challenging existing processes, encouraging innovation and driving necessary changes.
• Collaborate with other departments to identify additional sales opportunities that enhance revenue.
• Create an engaging environment for the team by motivating them through recognition, reward, training and development, with a strong focus on retention.
• Provide mentoring, coaching and regular feedback to manage conflict and improve performance.
• Ensure the Food and Beverage team is properly trained, certified and equipped to effectively carry out their responsibilities.
