About the school: Veritas are working with reputable SEMH school in West Drayton, London (UB7) providing students with a specific curriculum to further student's education based on their ability is a seeking a dedicated and compassionate Careers and emploability coach. You will be responsible to provide a safe and inclusive learning environment. The successful candidate will work to provide the curated curriculum designed in supporting pupils who are at risk or have other needs preventing them from attending school.
The Role: Are you passionate about empowering young individuals to achieve their career aspirations? We are seeking a dedicated Career/Employability Mentor to join our school community and provide ongoing support, motivation, and encouragement throughout the job search process.
What You'll Do:
- Empower Mentees: Help students enhance their employability and navigate their career paths with confidence.
- Identify Strengths: Collaborate with students to identify their unique strengths, interests, and values, aligning them with potential career options.
- Skill Development: Assist in cultivating essential employability skills such as communication, teamwork, problem-solving, and adaptability within the classroom and beyond.
- Job Search Strategies: Guide students on effective job search techniques, including leveraging job boards, social media, and direct outreach.
- Self-Reflection & Growth: Encourage personal growth through self-reflection, helping students set achievable career goals and develop long-term career plans.
