We are currently looking to recruit a Die Caster to join an exciting team in a well-established business based Bury St Edmunds!
Pay rate: £12.50 + Overtime

Hours of work are 05:30 to 14.30 Monday to Thursday with plenty of overtime available when fully trained.
One of our clients is a well-established organisation, built in 1959 and relocated to a purpose-built foundry in 1968, has over 50 years of experience in manufacturing high-quality aluminium alloy castings. It specialise in Gravity Die and Air Set sand moulding processes, producing more than 800 tonnes of castings annually.
The company adheres to stringent quality policies aimed at exceeding client expectations. With a commitment to continuous improvement, the organisation engages a skilled workforce throughout all production stages, blending traditional foundry techniques with modern practices and technology.
Many of its castings must meet very high integrity standards, particularly for safety-critical components in industries such as petrochemical, gas, oil, and mining. Inspection methods like X-ray and dye penetrant detection are utilised to ensure zero defects in these products.
Role Specific
· Operate the foundry die casting furnaces to heat aluminium ingots.
· Measure and maintain temperature of the furnaces.
· Treat molten aluminium through addition of additives and flux.
· Inspect die tooling for suitability for manufacture, cleaning and preparing as required.
· Heat required die tooling to required temperatures prior to manufacture.
· Transfer molten metal into pre-prepared die tooling through use of hand held ladles.
· Use site batch card system to track specific job requirements, (pouring temperatures, pour speeds, etc), and to book off quantities of castings manufactured.
· Carry out tasks as assigned by the Foundry Supervisor and Operations Manager.
· Maintain adherence to the production schedule.
· Ensure manufacturing activities are carried out in a safe and compliant manner.
· Mentor new operators on production tasks, as required.
· Continuously ensure good working order of all tools, equipment, patterns, lighting, and premises.
· Responsible for ensuring all correct PPE is used for each relevant task.
· Maintain and ensure good housekeeping and organisation of the working areas.
· Escalate any concerns or queries directly to the Foundry Supervisor, Operations Manager, or site management team.
· Participate in any quality investigations resulting from non-conforming product or processes.

You will be working alongside our experienced qualified staff which consists of the Falls and Fracture Liaison Service Team Lead, a Physiotherapist, a therapy support worker and a Nurse. We also have a Clerical Officer on the team.

As a Therapy Assistant, you will be required to assist our multidisciplinary team in the delivery of treatment of patients, working in their own homes or in residential settings. You will be working without direct supervision undertaking tasks delegated by qualified staff and will be expected to take an active role in co-ordinating, delivering and evaluating individual patient care. Support will be given by our experienced qualified staff.

An ability to travel to different geographical locations across the Trust footprint in line with service needs is essential, and a full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle would be desirable for this community role.

About this Role

Responsibilities cover general caretaking duties including opening and closing the premises, basic maintenance and repairs, waste management, emergency call outs and Health and Safety and compliance checks, along with some cleaning duties. Duties will also include ensuring that a high standard of cleanliness and security is maintained to support and safeguard the welfare of all persons using the school premises.

There will be some paperwork e.g. check lists of work completed, record keeping e.g. fire safety logs.

PART TIME CLEANER - 20 hours a week

The hours of work are Monday to Friday between 6.00 am and 8.00 am and 3.00pm to 6.00pm in accordance with service requirements. There is some flexibility to adjust the actual number of hours and the working pattern. We would agree the actual shift patterns with the successful candidate.

What You Will Do:


Support Management: Assist the Registered Care Manager with the day-to-day management and coordination of the branch to ensure it operates efficiently, profitably, and delivers the highest standard of domiciliary care.
Record Keeping and Reporting: Maintain accurate records, produce reports, and investigate complaints from service users and employees.
Recruitment and Staffing: Maintain and grow the team by actively recruiting new care staff, guiding them through the recruitment process, and producing weekly staffing rotas.
Business Development: Actively seek new business opportunities and support the commercial growth of the branch.
Operational Compliance: Stay informed about up-to-date operational issues and methods. Ensure compliance with health and safety, emergency regulations, and operational policies.
Emergency Duties: Undertake out-of-office duties as necessary, including providing emergency hands-on care, undertaking on-call duties, attending social events when required, and offering emergency telephone assistance to care staff.
Liaison and Coordination: Effectively liaise with other departments, employees, key stakeholders such as commissioners and customers, and the public at large.

What We Are Looking For:


Previous experience in a managerial or supervisory capacity in the domiciliary care sector is essential.
NVQ/QCF Level 3 in Health and Social Care required. Level 5 in Health and Social Care is desirable or working towards.
Proven ability to effectively lead, delegate, and mentor staff.
Excellent communication skills and a compassionate, empathetic nature.
High level of organisational skills with the ability to produce staffing rotas and manage multiple responsibilities.
Ability to work flexibly, including extended hours where necessary, and provide hands-on care during staff shortages.
A friendly, supportive demeanour with a genuine passion for assisting those in need.
Willingness to work collaboratively in a fast-paced environment and support your colleagues.
A valid driving license and access to a vehicle are required.
Hold or willing to obtain work related car insurance.
Willingness to undergo enhanced DBS clearance.

An opportunity has arisen for a responsible Administrator to provide comprehensive and effective administrative support to enable the delivery of this service. The post holder will work within the Administration Team, alongside Specialist Screening Practitioners and Screening Endoscopists.

The NCA/Pennine Bowel Cancer Screening Programme currently provides Screening to people aged between 54-74yrs, that are registered with a GP.

Screening plays a key role in supporting health, including early diagnosis, effective treatment packages and lives being saved.

Consulting with external supporting departments: Endoscopy, Hub, Histopathology, Radiology, Medical Records and Interpreters, to ensure that all Participants receive a positive experience and professional service.

In return, the post holder will join a vibrant & dedicated team. They will be provided with an induction/training plan, they will attend regular team and 1:1 meetings, plus have support with their own personal development plan.

The postholder will be responsible for the provision of a full and effective administrative support service to the Screening Centre.

They will be expected to arrange and plan their own work on a day-to-day basis, within the overall demands and priorities of the Centre.

They will review working practices to support the daily operational running of the service and maintain/ promote effective communication

The general administrative duties will include:
• First point of call for all telephone queries
• Booking appointments/procedures/interpreters
• Creation of care plans
• Tracking histology and other aspects of the Participant pathway
• Management of internal diaries
• Stock control and ordering of office supplies/other consumable requirements
• Photocopying & scanning
• Note taking/minutes
• Administrative support of Audits
• Adherence to the standards of the Trust and the Screening Centre
• To undertake any other duties as appropriate to the nature and grade of the post
