What you will be doing

·Developing new customer relationships and maintaining existing business

·Directing and mentoring junior planners

· Providing input into business plans and Chair Planning Meetings, influencing debate and contributing to discussion on operational matters

· Preparing fee proposals and providing input into tender submissions

· Preparing representations to Local Plan consultations, appearing at Local Plan Examinations and assisting with appeal co-ordination and statements of case

· Presiding over small/medium & large projects including coordinating team members, project finances, overseeing solutions in line with the customer’s expectations and ensuring delivery is on time

Who are looking for?

With experience within this sector, you will already be familiar with what we’re looking for:

· Qualified MRTPI or in another relevant discipline

· A highly experienced and knowledgeable practitioner who has experience in large energy and infrastructure projects, including those requiring Environmental Impact Assessment, and those relating to Developments of National Significance and Development Control Orders

· Full membership of the Royal Town Planning Institute and experience of delivering consultancy to a range of customers

· Have an established market reputation with a demonstrable record of winning sustainable and commercially viable projects

What you will be doing

· Reflecting the range of our work, your work will include site and desk-based work. Typically, your work will include:

· Working on landscape projects for both internal and external stakeholders

· Writing and contributing to LVIAs / SLVIAs / TVIAs to assist a wide range of projects at all scales, including Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects, typically in the renewables sector

· Undertaking site visits and viewpoint photography

· Inputting into landscape masterplans and landscape and ecological management plans

· Working closely with other colleagues in the Landscape Team and more widely within RPS, including multi-disciplinary colleagues and project teams

Who we are looking for

You will have a degree in Landscape Architecture or related discipline and ideally be a Chartered Member of The Landscape Institute (CMLI) with relevant years of experience applicable to this level, and be able to offer the following:

· Excellent report writing and organisational techniques

· Experience of conducting LVIAs for a range of project scales. Knowledge of, and experience working on, projects in the renewable energy sector would be an advantage

· Trained in AutoCAD and desktop publishing software

· Be able to work as part of a multi-disciplinary team and under your own initiative to targets

· Willingness to travel for project work

Experience of, and contributing to, the DCO (Development Consent Order) process would be an advantage. Similarly, experience of, or willingness to be involved in, providing evidence at Public Inquiry.

Main Duties of the Job: Formulate, implement, and monitor progress of the SUS and CC projects to ensure that programmes and project work streams are planned, documented, and managed effectively to assist in their successful delivery. This will also include responsibility for preparing documentation and tracking project plans and benefits. Provide administrative and project support to the Speaking Up Safely and Culture Change team. Organise and coordinate meetings, workshops, and events. Assist in the development and implementation of Speaking Up Safely and Culture Change strategies and initiatives. Maintain accurate records and documentation related to Speaking Up Safely and Culture Change projects. Liaise with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective communication and collaboration.

Candidates who apply using equivalence principles e.g., access to higher education courses, may need to complete Essential Skills Wales communication and application of number. Proof of qualifications will be required. You will undertake a training programme approved by the GPhC for the initial education and training of pharmacy technicians. All candidates who do not already hold the qualification Essential Skills Wales digital literacy at level 2will need to complete this as part of the programme. To complete the programme, candidates will need the ability and enthusiasm to undertake a modern apprenticeship training programme which will take two years to complete. This involves working full time (37.5 hours a week) in a pharmacy, building a portfolio of evidence, work-based assessment, on-line learning, study days and group work and following the GPhC Standards for Pharmacy Professionals. A commitment to studying outside working hours is essential as well as an ability to meet the deadlines set during your training programme. Experience of working effectively both in a team and independently and previous pharmacy experience are desirable but not essential for this post.

You will: Line-manage geographically dispersed senior and specialist teams within the Directorate and deputise for Chief Cloud Officer when required. Have responsibility for long term workforce planning, including succession, development and training of staff, to support the long term technical and knowledge-based objectives of the organization within the continuous improvement agenda. Support the Operations Directorate to work with openness and transparency, developing effective strategic partnerships, networks, and forums to enable successful collaborative working ensuring that we advance our business objectives.
