The role of an Event Safety Steward is largely focused on customer service so you will need to be confident and approachable with a polite and friendly demeanor.

Support Worker – Full Time (Complex Services)

£12.00 per hour

Driver required with a full UK licence

Shifts will be 7.30am to 10.30pm, 8am to 5pm and 8am to 9pm (5 days out of 7). We also work a weekend on and weekend off pattern.

The role

Real Life Options is a registered charity currently going through a period of growth, and we are continuing to search for permanent contracted Support Workers who really want to make an impact on the lives of the people we support.

We deliver creative, dynamic and person-centred services providing a range of individualised support. For this role you would be required to support one young man in supported living. As a Support Worker you will help promote and maintain independence and assist with daily living tasks which may include: domestic tasks, assisting with mail, bills, and maintaining tenancy. You will also be prompting and providing personal care. There is medication support which is a very important part of this role and the successful applicant would be expected to undertake annual competencies/training as required.

The young man is non-verbal and uses pictures to aid in his communication with staff, experience of this would be highly desirable, however full training will be provided.

There can be challenging behaviour involved, any candidate that applied should have previous experience with challenging behaviour and how to manage this, such as de-escalation training and/or experience with Positive Behaviour Support Plans. There will be extensive challenging behaviour training in place for successful candidates. The service is staffed at a 3:1 ratio so there are always 3 staff on at any one time.

The young gentleman has a very active social life and attends many activities in the local community such as swimming, bowling and attending clubs. The ability to swim is desirable in order to support him in the pool. You will also be required to support to respond to, and attend medical appointments. A Driver is required as you will be driving the young man’s car for activities

An Enhanced Adult PVG is required for this role.

Support Worker - Inverurie

Full time and Part time hours available- £12.00 per hour

Drivers Preferred- Please note that due to the location of service drivers are preferred for this role due to there being limited public transport and routes none being available during shift times.

Ideal for anyone living local to Inverurie or neighbouring towns such as; Westhill, Huntley & Insch.

There are many different shifts available however the most common are: 7.30am-3pm, 3pm-10pm and 12pm-9pm. Our service also requires sleepover shifts- these are paid hourly.

The Role:

We are representing a well-established manufacturing client in the Aberdeenshire area, known for their commitment to operational excellence and a supportive work environment. They are currently seeking an experienced Site Electrical Engineer to join their Engineering Maintenance team on a full-time, permanent basis. This role is perfect for a skilled electrical professional looking to contribute in a dynamic, fast-paced manufacturing setting.

Job Description:
As the Site Electrical Engineer, you'll be the in-house electrical expert for our client's engineering team. You will play a critical role in maintaining and optimising all electrical plant equipment, minimising downtime, and improving safety standards. This position offers a unique opportunity to provide mentorship, hands-on training, and actively participate in continuous improvement efforts across the facility.

Key Responsibilities:
* - Act as the in-house electrical specialist, mentoring and offering training to team members.
* - Ensure maximum operational efficiency by maintaining electrical equipment and ensuring compliance with safety and performance standards.
* - Conduct daily Planned Preventative Maintenance (PPM) checks and inspections to keep equipment fully operational.
* - Diagnose and repair faults in all electrical installations.
* - Perform general maintenance tasks and preventative measures to support smooth production.
* - Implement continuous improvement initiatives across plant infrastructure, enhancing quality, safety, and cost-effectiveness.
* - Complete maintenance documentation and perform inventory checks to maintain adequate stock of materials and spares.
* - Gain expertise in the client's production machinery through hands-on training.

Skills & Qualifications:
* - Significant experience as a Site Electrical Engineer, ideally within a food or automated production environment.
* - Time-served Engineer with a minimum of a City & Guilds qualification; 18th Edition IEE Regulations preferred.
* - Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently across various production areas.
* - Effective communicator who thrives in a fast-paced environment and can work well under pressure.

Salary & Shifts:
Competitive salary up to £45,000 per annum, dependent on experience.
Full-time, permanent contract (40 hours per week, Monday to Friday) with flexibility for occasional weekend work at enhanced rates.

Job Description

Provide a professional field social work services to children, families, individuals and groups within current legislation, policies and procedures of Aberdeenshire Council through working in partnership with service users, other professionals and agencies within the wider community.

There is a responsibility for the post holder to demonstrate a commitment to quality service delivery through continuous improvement for the benefit of the Service and the organisation.

This post is regulated work with Children and/or Protected Adults under the Protection of Vulnerable Groups (Scotland) Act 2007. The preferred candidate will be required to join the PVG Scheme or undergo a PVG Scheme update check. Where an individual has spent a continuous period of 3 months or more out with the UK in the last 5 years, an Overseas Criminal Record Check will be required. You will be required to provide this check. A confirmed offer of employment and commencement in the post will be subject to the outcome of both these pre-employment checks being deemed satisfactory.

It is Aberdeenshire Council’s procedure that applicants for vacancies of this nature require to attend an assessment centre as well as interview.
