The GORSE Academies Trust are seeking to recruit an inspirational colleague to the role of Finance Manager within the central finance team. This role is of great importance to our work as a trust. The successful candidate will be responsible for the management and operation of the budgeting and accounting systems, and monitoring and reporting on financial performance for a portfolio of trust establishments. The successful candidate will also be required to provide accurate and timely financial advice and information to the executive team, governors, senior leaders, and other colleagues to enable the trust to make best use of its financial resources.

The ideal applicant will have:

• A degree or higher education level qualification in a relevant subject or be working towards.
• At least three years’ experience in a senior finance role.
• Excellent knowledge of budget and financial management systems.

The post-holder will have a case mix of cancer, benign specialist and general surgery. The candidate will undertake acute on call for general surgery and in particular will perform acute biliary surgery. The Trust is committed to transforming our acute surgical pathway by delivering the principles of the Surgical Ambulatory Emergency Care (SAEC) programme. This role will play a pivotal part in delivering consultant-led, rapid, ambulatory diagnosis and treatment in the acute pathway, from triage to on the day diagnostics and surgery, and be part of the development of an exciting new centre enabling this.

You must have
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete Level 5 within 2 years)

This is a 5 bed service for childsrena dn young people with mild learnng disabilities and associated mental health needs,

The Registered Manager's role is to manage the home and staff team, leading the provision of inspirational care tailored to the individual needs of the children and young people. You will deal with staff management issues promptly ensuring that policies and procedures are followed. You will be responsible for the provision of a safe and stimulating environment which provides for assessment, care, control, education and health whilst nurturing emotional and physical wellbeing.

You will hold responsibility for all aspects of the management of the home in line with the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and the associated quality standards.

You must have
Level 3 Diploma in Residential Child Care and Level 5 Diploma in Leadership and Management for Residential Childcare (or willingness to complete Level 5 within 2 years)
At least 2 years' experience relevant to residential care in the last 5 years
Extensive knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards
Understanding of care planning and case management, with the ability to liaise constructively with professionals and families and manage challenging situations
Ability to lead a team, supervise and motivate colleagues

Knowledge required

• In-depth knowledge of the Children's Homes Regulations 2015 and associated quality standards
• Good knowledge and experience of law and practice relating to looked after children
• In-depth knowledge of child and adolescent growth and development
• In-depth knowledge of child protection procedures and the impact of abuse and neglect
• Computer literate with a good working knowledge of Microsoft Office applications
• In-depth knowledge of equal opportunities policies and managing diversity

Experience required

Service Care Solutions is looking for a committed and empathetic Prison Activity Worker to join our team, working across two sites near Leeds. This full-time role involves splitting your time between HMP Leeds (three days per week) and HMP Wealstun, totaling 35 hours a week. The position requires an enhanced DBS check and prison vetting clearance but offers a generous benefits package, including 30 days of annual leave plus bank holidays.

Key Responsibilities:
As a Prison Support Worker, your primary role will be to provide comprehensive support to individuals within the prison system, helping them navigate their time in custody and preparing them for life after release. Your key responsibilities will include:

• 
  Assessing Needs: Conduct initial and ongoing assessments to identify the specific support needs of each participant. Provide tailored advocacy, mentoring, advice, and guidance to meet these needs effectively.
• 
  Case Management: Engage and case-manage eligible participants on the CFO Evolution programme, offering ongoing resettlement support. You will also be responsible for completing pre-release inventories and associated actions to ensure participants are well-prepared for their transition back into the community.
• 
  Quality Assurance & Reporting: Develop and implement detailed Action Plans, designing and delivering appropriate activities, training programmes, and interventions. You will be expected to lead high-quality 1:1 and group sessions, monitor participants' progress, and contribute to internal quality assurance processes. Regularly provide timely monthly reports on progress against agreed outcomes.

  Team Collaboration: Build strong working relationships with HMPPS, other agencies, and colleagues within the prison system. You will also collaborate with the local CFO Activity Hub to facilitate effective through-the-gate transitions and ensure a smooth handover to community-based support workers.

Person Specification:
We are looking for candidates who possess the following skills, knowledge, and attributes:

  Experience: A background in working intensively with individuals, particularly those from marginalized or offender backgrounds, is essential. Experience in training, guidance, advice, or counseling environments is highly desirable.
• 
  Knowledge: A strong understanding of the issues affecting the rehabilitation of offenders, desistance theory, and the prison environment is crucial. You should also be knowledgeable about local and national training, education, and employment opportunities for offenders.
• 
  Skills & Abilities: We seek individuals with excellent communication, interpersonal, and IT skills, along with the ability to work independently and as part of a team. You should be self-motivated, flexible, and capable of developing positive working relationships with a wide range of stakeholders.

  Attitude: A positive, empathetic, and resilient attitude is essential. You must have a strong belief in the ability of people to turn their lives around and a commitment to consultative and collaborative working practices.
