Practice Information:

The clinic is situated in Maryborough in has approximately 15,500 active patients at the clinic.

The clinic offers a variety of services for the community including Men’s and Women’s health initiatives, sexual health checks, mental health services and on-site pathology collection. The principal GP is also a registered acupuncturist, Rail Medical Practitioner and Coal Board Medical Officer.
Patients can generally make an appointment on the same day if required, and we also accept walk-in appointments if the doctors have time in their schedule.

Our clinic employs two FTE practice nurses to assist with clinic work.

After Hours Requirements:

The clinic is open Monday to Friday and Saturday mornings, and the doctors are also required to take part in the clinic on call roster. This would schedule the doctors on approximately 1 in 6 weekends and weeknights. The doctors’ work hours are 8.30am to 5pm Monday to Friday (lunch from 12 to 1pm) and 8am to 11am Saturday morning. The clinic also provides services to patients in the local nursing homes, and there are times that the doctors are required to visit the nursing homes, as well as home visits to patients unable to attend the clinic. These visits will be arranged to suit the doctor’s personal requirements.

Qualifications and Experience:

The successful applicant must be eligible for AHPRA registration

Remuneration:

You will be employed as a contractor on a salary of $150,000 per annum and 60% of gross billings after 12 months, whichever is the greater. This will be paid weekly. Short term accommodation can be provided for the successful applicant.

As Executive Pastry Chef you will lead the team and assist in managing the daily kitchen operations of our diverse Food & Beverage Operation, with a focus on the Pastry Kitchen.

Working within the restaurants, bars and event offerings on the island, your passion for presentation and dedication to delivering flavour will complete each guest’s experience. Working alongside our broader culinary team and leading our Pastry team you’ll create some of our guests’ favourite culinary moments. The perfect complement to the unique personalised service provided by our world class front of house team.

This role encompasses all the normal things you would expect from such a role; an opportunity to focus on the pastries and let your ingredient knowledge, creativity and culinary skills shine whilst leading and developing your team. From high teas and desserts to sweet treats and savouries, you’ll be at the forefront of the Pastry team and the delivery of delights across the resort’s venues, corporate functions, and special events.

This position has a base salary of $90,000


What we need from you
We are looking for enthusiastic and professional team players who knows how to deliver great service and exceed guest expectations. To be successful you will need:
A formal Commercial Cookery Certification.
A minimum of 2 years’ experience as a Pastry Chef or Chef de Cuisine, Pastry or be a talented Sous Chef, Pastry ready for their next challenge.
Demonstrated performance in a hotel or resort environment, preferably in a complex property with multiple restaurants, bars, and banqueting department.
Strong skill base and experience in providing offerings from the Pastry Kitchen to compliment a la carte, banqueting and buffet food production.
Demonstrated performance leading a successful team.
A working knowledge and understanding of HACCP procedures, including the training of colleagues in procedures.
Rostering, ordering & payroll knowledge will be highly regarded.

Our client is a community focussed local council, currently seeking an experienced Payroll Team Leader to join their growing team.

In this full-time permanent position, you'll be reporting directly to the Financial Operations Manager and will be responsible for managing the end-to-end Payroll function. As part of this role, you will demonstrate excellent leadership and people management skills as will be responsible for overseeing the function and leading a team of 5 payroll specialists.

This is a council with a long-standing history and a diverse workforce, experience working in a large and complex environment will be highly desirable and benefit you in this role. The organisation is also going through a period of growth and process improvement, so if you enjoy a challenge and working on BAU and Projects, this is a great opportunity for you.

Main re sponsibilities;

Manage the entire end-to-end Payroll function to produce a fortnightly payroll service to the organisation.
Promote a culture of high performance, integrity and professionalism within your team.
Partner with key business stakeholders to continually transform the payroll function.
Project manage all payroll related projects including the coordination of payroll system enhancements, upgrades and testing.
Work closely with the Financial Operations Manager and the Financial Services Leadership Group, to meet the strategic objectives.


To be successful in this role, you will have a deep understanding of the complete payroll function and demonstrated experience in a Snr Payroll position. You will have a customer focussed mindset and will be a person people feel comfortable working with and learning from. Experience working in large, complex organisation with multiple awards is highly desirable.

Duties and responsibilities as an AAO

· Be a team player

· Act in accordance with the AAO Deed of Obligation

· Perform all official duties as an AAO in accordance with all legislative requirements.

· Perform all work in accordance with all safe working procedure and practices.

· Perform Post Mortem inspection on the retain rail and reporting.

Requirements of the role

· Certificate 3 in Meat Processing (Meat Safety) or Certificate 4 in Meat Processing (Meat Safety)

· Competent in knife sharpening and maintaining a sharp knife.

· Experience in working in a meat process environment.

· Be able to work within a team or individual environment with reporting protocols.

· Always act in a professional, ethical manner in performing AAO functions.
