About the Opportunity:

Amcor Rigid Packaging is seeking a full-time summer intern that will commence in May 2024 and will give the selected student; a challenging project-based work experience, the opportunity to learn about Amcor Rigid Packaging business, the packaging industry, and receive mentorship from business leaders.

Internship Assignments:

This internship offers a broad experience within the Amcor Supply Chain Group and the selected intern will gain experience leading and contributing towards robust Supply Chain projects.  Amcor is excited to be embarking on a transformation of its supply chain systems and processes.  This internship will have specific deliverables as a part of the implementation of the project and will help shape the future of supply chain standards, reporting and KPI’s within Amcor.  The intern experience will include observing and working along-side team members as they manage a range of responsibilities.  Based on needs during the time of the internship, the assignment may include the following:

• Participate in the development, analysis and implementation of statistical forecast modeling
• Conduct planning and analysis of various demand scenarios
• Manage, analyze and maintain master data for use in planning and execution systems
• Develop and improve data analytics to improve demand forecast and supply scenarios 
• Support the development of additional supply chain reporting and key performance indicators (KPIs)
• Perform statistical analysis on data and provide summaries of source data and potential trends
• Support supply chain leaders in solving supply issues and developing improved business processes
• Conduct supply chain project to support and implement a formal supply chain metric initiative
• Using analytic tools, conduct research into cost optimization and asset utilization 
• Support the deployment and communication of new, or changes to existing, business processes, policies and metrics across Supply Chain

 Basic Qualifications:

• Candidates must be pursuing an undergraduate or graduate degree in Business, Supply Chain Management  or a related area
• Open to a Senior standing at time of application
• Legally authorized to work in the United States on a permanent basis without company sponsorship now or in the future

What you'll do

As an Internal Service Management Analyst, you’ll establish and manage internal outsourcing agreements, working with service recipients to make sure the correct governance is in place and the delivery is in accordance with our contractual agreements.

Additionally, you’ll be:

• Safeguarding our customers and business by working with service recipients to complete due diligence, risk assessments and materiality assessments
• Proactively reviewing and maintaining internal services, challenging service below contractual expectations while capturing changes to make sure delivery is not compromised
• Maintaining the timely execution of all reviews, including the day-to-day management of the recipient and suppliers
• Providing recommendations where enhancements could benefit service delivery, without compromising our risk obligations

What you’ll do

As an Internal Service Management Team Lead, you’ll work with others to validate contractual agreements and, where changes or shortfalls to existing contracts are evident, escalate any issues with recommendations for recovery.

Alongside this, you’ll create and review management information to provide oversight, and achieve the delivery of our strategy. You’ll also collaborate with senior management to ensure that all aspects of our internal service management framework are implemented effectively.

Your top priorities will include:

• Acting as an expert in relation to the key principles of the continuity of internal supply chain policy requirements
• Understanding the key offshore regulators’ outsourcing policies and guidance notes
• Ensuring that the internal outsourcing of any activities is completed in line with regulatory requirements
