• Scholarship recipients receive an offer of paid employment for a 2025 15-week Summer Analyst intern position at BMO Capital Markets in Toronto, Montreal, Calgary or Vancouver 
• Recipients will be paired with a Capital Markets professional to provide coaching and mentorship throughout their internship 
• Students receive formal and on-the-job training, opportunities to network and collaborate with other student interns, and access to ongoing professional development throughout their internship 
• Successful recipients of a $10,000.00 (CAD) scholarship award will receive their award via payment to their school's financial aid office, to be applied to their tuition.

What’s in it for you? 

• Summer Analysts start the internship by completing a one-week training and orientation program 
• During the next 15 weeks, in addition to on-the-job experience in your assigned business group, you will participate in professional development sessions and events throughout the summer

Eligibility criteria: 

• You are a student at an accredited Canadian Post Secondary Institution/University, currently enrolled in an undergraduate program with a graduation date of December 2025 or Spring 2026

• You are available to work full-time from May-August 2025 
• You have a minimum GPA of 3.0/4.0

• You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or an individual who is legally authorized to work in Canada and will not require sponsorship in the future 
• You are not already receiving 100% tuition coverage from other sources and must have a current unmet need of $10,000 CAD or more.

Corporate Banking Overview:

The CB Summer Analyst program is designed for candidates between their second and third year of an undergraduate school. Summer analysts will gain valuable experience and exposure to a wide number of industries during the 15-week program.  In addition to this on-the-job experience, the program includes the opportunity to network across various business groups, learn about the culture of BMO Capital Markets, participate in training and learning seminars, and obtain career guidance from dedicated mentors.  This position is ideally suited to talented, highly motivated individuals who seek to build a solid, comprehensive foundation in the basic skills of corporate banking. 

Responsibilities:

• Processing client requests (e.g. new credit facilities and extensions and/or amendments to existing credit facilities).
• Completing annual / interim credit reviews.  Credit reviews include industry and financial analysis comprising of: operating performance, cash flow, leverage, coverage and liquidity, as well as capital-at-risk and other regulatory capital calculations.
• Monitoring performance of portfolio companies against credit terms and conditions and identify changes in the financial condition of a client.
• Preparing presentation materials and relationship profitability assessments, which involve liaising with other product and industry groups within BMO Capital Markets. 
• Performing other duties including industry and company-specific research, as well as ad hoc projects for senior professionals.

Qualifications:

• Currently enrolled in an undergraduate business/accounting/finance program graduating in December 2025 or Spring 2026
• GPA of 3.0/4/0
• Strong interest in finance and banking.
• Demonstrated leadership in extracurricular activities.
• Strong financial analysis and modeling skills.
• Proficient in Word/Excel/PowerPoint.
• Strong communication skills both written and verbal
• Detail oriented.
• Highly motivated, fast learning and able to work with limited supervision and adapt to frequent market, systems, and process changes.
• Outgoing and personable; team player able to work effectively in small groups.
• Knowledgeable in the principles of finance and the financial markets. Comfortable working in a fast-paced environment.
• Previous banking or credit risk management experience preferred.
• You are a Canadian citizen, permanent resident of Canada, or an individual who is legally authorized to work in Canada and will not require sponsorship in the future 

Please note the salary for this specific position is $90,000.

Salaries for part-time roles will be pro-rated based on number of hours regularly worked. As a Partnerships Management intern in this team, you will work closely with the project managers and your supervisor and assist them in a wide range of tasks such as:

• Participate in the initiation and monitoring of collaborative R&D projects and work-integrated learning (WIL) activities involving partners from the research and academic community and contribute to the development of the contractual framework of the projects;

• Review and synthesize the portfolio of past and current collaborations; Propose mechanisms to track the portfolio and participate in related continuous improvement initiatives;

• Contribute to the development of a portal for the management of collaborative projects;

• Participate in the management of sponsorships with stakeholders;

• Contribute to the management of programs encouraging company participation in work integrated learning (WIL) activities;

• Follow up on payments and financial aspects of projects on an occasional basis;

• Collaborate with the Communications team to disseminate news related to the collaboration portfolio and maintain the calendar of events;

• Participate in other tasks on an occasional basis.

The internship can be carried out at least in part via teleworking. The conditions will be discussed at the time of hiring.

Our ideal candidate has:
