We are looking to appoint an enthusiastic and hard-working clinical fellow (post foundation training) in Gastroenterology, Nutrition and Intestinal Failure at University Hospital of Coventry & Warwickshire NHS Trust. This is an exciting opportunity to spend 6 months working within a thriving multidisciplinary nutrition team and Gastroenterology department in a large Intestinal Failure centre, commissioned to provide care to patients from a wide area of the West Midlands.
• Applicants must have full registration with the General Medical Council and be eligible for inclusion in the GMC Specialist Register.
• The applicant must have completed foundation training and have experience in Gastroenterology.
• This is a whole-time post, and the new appointee will join an enthusiastic multi-professional nutrition support team in the management of Gastroenterology patients.
A provisional working schedule will be 8:30-17:00 Monday-Friday, and this will be mutually agreed according to the training needs with the Lead Clinician and Clinical Director on behalf of the Trust
We will be kindly looking at recruiting the candidate from 1st February - 31st July

The post holder will manage inpatients on the Gastroenterology ward including those with Types 1,2 and 3 Intestinal Failure They will work as an integral part of the Multidisciplinary nutrition team. .
This role would suit post foundation training doctors interested in pursuing a career in gastroenterology, particularly Intestinal Failure.
The role will include opportunities for involvement in audit and research and engagement with post graduate teaching programmes within the hospital. Involvement in national Intestinal Failure initiatives would be possible for an interested candidate. Educational Supervision will be provided.
