What skills and experience we're looking for

Main purpose of the role

To work with teachers as part of a professional team to support teaching and learning for SEN pupils. Providing learning support to pupils who need particular help to overcome barriers to learning, such as those with moderate, severe, profound and multiple learning difficulties and/or behavioural, social, communication, sensory or physical disabilities.

Core responsibilities and tasks

Key duties:

1. Work with individuals or small groups of pupils in the classroom under the direct supervision of teaching staff e.g. reading, crafts etc and provide feedback to the teacher

2. Work with pupils on therapy or care programmes, designed and supervised by a therapist/care professional

3. Support pupils to understand instructions support independent learning and inclusion of all pupils

Additional Support Needs Assistants at this level may also undertake any or all of the following:

1. Administer medication in accordance with an agreed plan under direction of healthcare practitioner and following appropriate training

Undertake a range of procedures relevant to area of work e.g. venepuncture, cannulation, catheterisation, bladder scanning and complex dressings following assessment of competency. Undertake clinical audit for example, infection control audits.Environmental Responsibilities. Ensure the maintenance of a safe environment at all times. Job Summary
Under the supervision of a registered nurse assisting the Ward / Department team in providing the highest possible standard of care for patients and their families/carer.

The post holder will undertake a range of tasks and duties as delegated by a

CLINICAL RESPONSIBILITIES

We have an exciting vacancy within the local Liverpool area for a Care Assistant to join our team and develop their care skills, working alongside our Branch Nurses and Care Staff with opportunity to progress. We are currently looking for a care assistant to visit our service users and assist them with medication, meal support, personal care, and socialising. In addition, this individual would have the opportunity to develop skills in areas of low-level clinical skills with further scope to train within more complex care.

Experience working within care is an advantage, but not necessary for the right candidate. You would be supporting individuals to live independently within their own homes, on a part time basis, and would have consistent individuals with whom you would build a rapport with.

Your new school

You will be as a 1:1 Learning Support Assistant, to support a child with additional learning needs. You will be the key person for this student and work closely with the classroom teacher and SENCO on a daily basis to provide support within the classroom and other daily duties.

Critical Care at the Royal Liverpool comprises of a 18 bedded Intensive Therapy Unit (ITU), a 4 bedded post-operative critical care unit (POCCU) and a 14 bedded High Dependency Unit (HDU). These will be combined into one Critical Care Unit in October 2022 with the move to the New Royal

We care for patients who have severe multi-organ failure and who are receiving invasive technology and monitoring support. The areas are clinically, physically and emotionally demanding though extremely satisfying when our patients improve and are transferred from Critical Care.
