We are looking for band 2 Medical Laboratory Assistant’s for the Central Specimen Reception Department. These are full time permanent positions (37.5 hours per week).

The department provides a 24/7 service and the successful candidates will be required to participate in the shift system to cover early, late, weekend and bank holiday rosters. Some night duties may also be required.

KR 1 Clinical and Client Care To provide psychological assessments for clients in the adult acute psychology inpatient services under the close supervision of a practitioner psychologist including development and implementation of the trauma informed approach within KC acute and urgent care mental health services To provide protocol based individual psychological interventions for clients in the KC acute and urgent care mental health services including trauma informed approach To arrange, schedule and provide protocol based group psychological interventions for clients in the adult acute psychology inpatient services including trauma informed approach interventions. Clinical: 1. To undertake production of questionnaires, data collection, setting up of databases and spreadsheets, data analysis, and the production of reports and presentation of summaries to colleagues using IT and statistical programmes, including Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and SPSS. 2. To assist in the design and implementation of audit projects. 3. To undertake searches of evidence-based literature and research to assist qualified clinical psychologists in evidence-based practice in individual and team work, and work with other team members. General To contribute to the development and maintenance of the highest professional standards of practice, through active participation in internal and external CPD training and development programmes, in consultation with the postholders professional and team/operational manager(s). To maintain the highest standards of clinical record keeping and report writing in accordance with professional codes of practice of the British Psychological Society and Trust policies and procedures. To undertake specific administrative duties as required, which will be a key element of supporting the service within this role. Under the supervision of a qualified psychologist, to assist with the production of materials to support the service in a variety of ways as it develops, such as developing posters and power point presentations to promote the service, developing service maps and reviews of wider systems, to support signposting etc. To perform other duties of a similar kind appropriate to the grade, which may be required from time to time by their Psychology Manager.
