As we head towards Christmas, we are now starting to look towards January jobs. These roles are on a temporary and long-term basis, with the potential for these roles to be permanent for the right candidate. Your new role
You will be responsible for providing support and assistance to different classroom teachers with the delivery of curriculum, as well as supporting the pupils in both group and 1:1 setting across the KS1 and KS2 year groups. You will be required to hold interventions for maths, reading, writing and phonics, so it would be beneficial if you have experience with these. Some of these schools will include SEN pupils, so any experience here would be beneficial. We will always strive to meet your requirements and assign you to the particular year group of your choice. However, you may be expected to move round within the school, so being flexible would be a key skill.

In order to be successful in securing this position, you must have recent experience working with children, ideally in an educational setting. ABOUT THE SCHOOL

A warm and welcoming SEN school is searching for a SEN Teaching Assistant to join their complex needs team on a full-time basis, for the remainder of the academic year.

The SEN school has the specialist knowledge, skills and resources to meet the needs of pupils aged 11- 18 years old with severe learning difficulties and complex needs, as well as other co-occurring conditions such as Autism, ADHD and social, emotional and communication difficulties.

As a complex needs teaching assistant, you will be joining a team that is highly dedicated, nurturing and skilled to deliver the best support for pupils. All pupils are encouraged and challenged to explore their full potential.

The SEN school goes above and beyond to support pupils and their families, ensuring that every pupil receives a personalised approach to the curriculum so that they can be the very best that they can be both academically and holistically.

EXPERIENCE, TRAINING AND QUALIFICATIONS

MUST have experience working with young people or young adults with SEN (personal or professional)
Strong understanding of the SEN curriculum
Proven record of good / outstanding feedback from lesson observations / performance management
Articulate, creative and dedicated to supporting children with SEN
Passionate, positive & team player
Confident & strong classroom management skills
Enthusiastic and committed to teaching children with SEN
TO BE ELIGIBLE FOR THIS ROLE THROUGH PROSPERO TEACHING, YOU MUST:

Hold Right to Work in the UK
Hold an enhanced child barred list DBS certificate registered with the online update service or be willing to process a new application
Provide two professional child related references that cover the last two years
