THE COMPANY
Our client, an established business based in Cannock, are recruiting for an AAT Accounts Assistant for a permanent contract. Our client is a well-known company in the local area, a leader in their field, who are experiencing a period of growth.

THE ROLE
You will be working for a Cannock based accountancy practice as an AAT Accounts Assistant. You will be trained up and supported to prepare accounts for sole traders, partnerships and audit exempt limited companies within a portfolio of clients. This work will include income and corporation tax computations. You will also perform some book-keeping duties, prepare VAT Returns, and cash flow forecasts and projections and be responsible for seeing client face to face. You will have 2 years experience in a practice environment, possess excellent accounting skills and have a good knowledge of recognised software applications (Word, Excel, Outlook). You will also have excellent working knowledge of Sage and possess knowledge of income/corporation tax. You will be keen to play an active role in a dynamic team and willing to contribute to the success and development of the team and the firm as a whole. Be passionate about providing great client service and be excellent at communicating with people at all levels – face to face and in writing. Support will be given, where appropriate, to continue professional development towards the AAT, ACCA, or ACA qualification.

REQUIREMENTS
