Due to an increasing workload, RPS is seeking to recruit a Senior Ecologist to join our Planning & Environmental team. The post will be based in our Belfast office, but duties may require travelling throughout the UK and Ireland.

The Planning and Environmental team within RPS has been involved in a wide range of projects from small scale housing developments up to major road schemes and infrastructure projects.
Our Northern Ireland Office, situated in Belfast, employs over 300 staff and has been providing services to the UK and ROI for the past 70 years. What you’ll be doing

Writing and reporting findings
Communicating effectively with team and clients.
Liaising with other members of the RPS Planning & Environmental Team to deliver an effective service to our clients
Supporting Director in business development activities
Input into the production of reports for planning applications and marine license applications or equivalent
Production of feasibility reports
Assistance towards the coordination of multi-disciplinary project teams
Field visits and surveys
Research and analysis
Community and stakeholder consultation
Who we’re looking for:

Experienced in Phase 1 Habitat Surveys; Bat Surveys; Mammal Surveys
Capable of taking projects from concept to completion
Ability to interpret construction/design plans and drawings and understand how these manifest physically.
Able to work on own initiative and under pressure.
Competent in the use of GIS and Microsoft Office including Excel, PowerPoint and Word.
Knowledge of UK and or Irish environmental policy and legislation.
Interest in all aspects of Ecology.
Ability to deliver ecological solutions, and successfully manage time to meet project deadlines.
A hard working and highly motivated individual with excellent communication, presentation and report writing skills.
Client focused with good interpersonal skills and team approach with a high level of commitment towards the job.
Full current driving license and access to a form of transport to travel to various sites to carry out the duties of the post.
Qualifications:

Degree level qualification in Ecological related subject (minimum 2:1 preferred)
CIEEM or equivalent qualification

Your new role
As Marketing Executive, you will have support and guidance to demonstrate your skills and capabilities in a fun, fast-paced and pioneering environment.
Responsibilities:

• Identify and create brand promotion activities in operating markets.
• Manage HubSpot CRM, including inbound and outbound marketing, supporting the sales team and providing the tool-kit for the wider support teams.
• Manage customer facing applications and communications to ensure all messaging is on brand and correct.
• Manage and report on all marketing activities, working to integrate marketing tools into PowerBi.
• Assist in the development of marketing strategies across Ireland to improve network usage including prospect and lead generation.
• Oversee the e-commerce sections of the website, ensuring seamless sales and installations for customers.
• Coordinate customer videos / photographs, case studies and testimonials with location partners.
• Contribute to email campaigns, award nominations and business promotions.
• Research market trends and competitor analysis.
• Provide support with social media including identifying potential brand influencers.
• Support other departments as required with their marketing/communication.
• Create and support the content creation for social media and website.
  
  

What you'll need to succeed

• Qualification in Marketing or similar.
• Proven experience in a busy marketing role.
• Demonstrate experience of working on simultaneous projects and delivering to tight deadlines.
• Ability to manage social media and other platforms.
• Use of CRM systems.
• Flexible, dedicated and willing to learn.
• Strong communication skills.
• Ability to work to own initiative and independently.
• Proficient in MS Office packages.
• Full UK or ROI driving licence and ability to travel to site when required.

The Recruitment Co are currently working with a large Public Sector body in recruiting for a Senior Scientific Officer based in Hillsborough on a full time temporary basis.

The post holder during the duration of the UK-DELL project will report to the Project Director and will have a key role in the team leading UK -DELL - a multi-million pound DEFRA funded collaborative research and demonstration programme. While
the focus of the post is to support the delivery of the project, the post holder will also work closely with a dedicated project administrative officer, alongside the AFBI Finance, Research support and Corporate teams to ensure compliance with AFBI's corporate requirements as well. The main duties within the UK-DELL project and after completion will include:

Project Governance and Finance
* To work closely with the Project Director, Work Package leaders and the project management team , and the Steering Groups (involving project partners) to ensure the delivery of the project.
* To ensure that allocated budgets are handled in a fully audit able manner compliant with funder procedures, and to supply appropriate financial data to funder when required to do so.
* To collate, process, upload and check financial claims made by the Project Partners for the purpose of the project.

Project Reporting
* In consultation with Project Partners, to coordinate preparation of relevant scientific and technical progress reports (monthly and annually) and submit them to the funding body.
* In consultation with Project Partners, to coordinate inputs to the final Project Report.
* To produce financial reports on behalf of the research programme and to submit them to funding body as required.

Project Communications Plan (stakeholder management)
* To assist with implementation of the Project Communication Plan within and with consortium partners.
* To assist with coordination and delivery of various project events as detailed in the Project Communication Plan, including workshops, conferences, stakeholder meetings etc.

Specific Experience / Qualifications required

• A third level qualification at degree level (e.g. B.A.,B.Sc.).
• At least 3 years' experience of project management in a scientific or business context.
• At least 2 year experience of financial reporting within an organisation.
• At least 2 years' experience of stakeholder engagement and writing reports for funders / stakeholders
