Hays are delighted to be working in partnership with our locally established exclusive client based in Brechin to support in their upcoming requirement for a Senior Bookkeeper on a 12-month fixed-term contract. This role is being offered on a full-time basis in the office. This role is offering a salary of £28,000 - £32,000 depending on experience with the potential to stay on with the organisation following this period, directly supporting the Accountant on site.
Your new role
In your new role, you will be the main finance point of contact for daily and monthly transactional finance tasks by taking accounts up to trial balance including bookkeeping, invoice processing, bank reconciliations, managing payment runs and supporting with stock control. You will proactively support in wider business tasks when required including answering the phones, supporting internal and external stakeholders with queries and offering additional support to the Accountant on tasks such as month-end reporting.
What you'll need to succeed
To succeed, you will be an experienced professional who is comfortable working in a small team environment that requires you to be a self-starter, adaptable and confidently able to deal with all types of stakeholders both internal and external to the organisation. You will be someone who can work independently on transactional finance tasks, achieving strict deadlines with accuracy in bookkeeping, journal postings, bank reconciliations and payment runs. You will demonstrate strong communication skills, both written and verbal, to positively support wider business and finance operations on a daily basis.

To establish and monitor appropriate health care packages for children with continuing care needs To use the Assess, Plan, Implement and Review model in conjunction with the child and family and other involved professionals, creating plans of care and protocols relevant to each child. To participate in the negotiation of service level agreements with external providers. To ensure that agencies contracted to deliver nursing care are maintaining their responsibility and adhering to agreed protocols. Monitor agencies delivering care are meeting Key Performance Indicators and provide regular reports to the CCG. To maintain up to date accurate records, provide written reports as needed and complete statistical returns as required. To attend training courses as required and extend knowledge and skills in line with service requirements to maintain your NMC registration and revalidation. To be aware of and act in accordance with agreed policy, procedures, legislation and NMC standards. To work in partnership with social care and education teams, ensuring that holistic needs are met for children and families. To undertake other duties and tasks as requested by the Community Matron for Childrens Complex and Continuing Care OTHER To meet regularly with the Community Matron to discuss, plan and co-ordinate service development in area of responsibility. To lead and/or participate in professional development/training as identified by clinicians or national directives. To foster and develop effective working relationships within the service. To contribute to the identification of the health needs of sick children and bring unmet needs to the attention of the Community Matron for Childrens Complex and Continuing Care. To ensure financial transactions are carried out in accordance with the Trust's instruction. To participate in the negotiation of service level agreements. To contribute to clinical audit and encourage research based practice. To participate in the recruitment, selection and appointment of nursing staff where appropriate. To work collaboratively with Disabled Childrens Teams and CCG to ensure effective information sharing and planning respite or additional support/nursing care at home, ensuring an equitable service is offered to families. To develop policies and guidelines for this clinical area ensuring they are communicated and evaluated to ensure a dynamic, safe and responsive environment for the child and family. To facilitate transition to adult services when appropriate. To monitor the stock of consumables, being mindful of the changing equipment needs of the client group

The main areas of responsibility are as follows Working to deliver a CAMH service within the school in order to improve the mental health of pupils Providing consultation and training to school staff Liaision with professional networks Attend the special schools case discussion group (1st and 3rd Wednesday of the month 10:45-11:45) A key part of the post holders role will be to understand the underlying needs that lead to behaviours that cause concern, and support the network in planning and implementing interventions to create change. Assessment and direct work with families Supporting non-health staff members in assessing, understanding and managing mental health difficulties and clinical risk in young people. Supporting the implementation of a positive behaviour support model across the network by modelling this in network meetings with other services, e.g. childrens social care, short break providers, etc. We are looking for someone who can work effectively with young people aged 4-18 and their families, applying their skills to work with parents with mental health difficulties as needed, in complex systems and with school staff. Experience of working in schools is essential. The post holder will be required to work flexibly, independently and responsively within a fast paced school environment. Key Responsibilities: Support the Head of Service and wider team to deliver a first-class service to customers. Work collaboratively with IIU Operational Lead to develop, and implement effective and robust team processes, particularly as service development continues. As part of the senior leadership team work collaboratively with CHIS management and IIU head of service, on service expansion programmes for the IIUT. Responsible for reviewing data provided by the data informatics team (in collaboration with the IIU team senior data administrators and team clinicians) to identify geographical areas or specific patient groups with low immunisation uptake rates. Work in partnership with primary care colleagues and other relevant stakeholders to identify/address challenges affecting Immunisation uptake rates and reducing barriers in access to vaccination. Responsible for liaising with primary care colleagues and parents/families re children who have been identified as not being up to date or missing immunisations in a timely manner and identifying/addressing any barriers to vaccination for these children.
