Role Overview:

We are seeking a Senior Authorised Person (SAP) to join our field-based team, with a hub located in Southampton. You will work across the Hampshire, Wiltshire, and Sussex regions, engaging in an exciting range of HV projects with private network customers such as hospitals, supermarkets, petrochemical facilities, educational institutions, docks, and various businesses.

Key Responsibilities:

•      Manage small project construction and asset replacement projects on private networks.
•      Plan outages, produce switching programs, and liaise with System Control.
•      Make dead, isolate, and earth high voltage electrical networks.
•      Identify and release apparatus to be worked on by issuing Safety Documents and Permits to Work, SFT.
•      Conduct high voltage testing and fault location.
•      Supervise and manage Jointer and Fitter teams.

What We're Looking For:

• Experienced SAP on HV systems, ideally with DNO Authorisation to 11kV with Sanction for Test.
• Authorization to work on 11kV networks. (33kV training available if required)
• Good knowledge of a wide range of High Voltage plant and equipment
• Previous experience working on HV DNO/private networks
• Demonstrable working knowledge of High Voltage Protection Relays, Telecontrol Systems, and wiring and schematic diagrams
• Experience in a highly regulated environment.
• Proven track record in the electrical contracting industry, either as an Engineer or Contracts Supervisor with supervisory experience.
• Full UK driving license is essential.

Additional Information:

• Expectation to support the team cover a call-out rota (additional pay) on a 1 in 4 weekly basis.

I'm working exclusively with this product-development business to build out their Dev team with 3-4 hires. Having navigated Covid with no redundancies and growing their international customer base the plan is to add 40% headcount in the next 6 months so it's a really exciting time to be joining.

You'll be based from their modern head office in Central Bournemouth, two minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London.

Your new role
Having gone through a modernisation effort in recent years (80% complete) these are hands-on positions working with cutting edge .Net technologies. You'll be working on new feature development for 2 of their core products, long term ongoing work as opposed to being pulled around between customers/projects.

They select the right tool from the job rather than being wedded to one stack and are always looking to the future, for example with Machine Learning capabilities (predictive analytics, LLM's and traditional AI).

The culture is relaxed and there's no red tape. You will be given a large element of control in your daily work alongside a team of 6 other talented Seniors with 5+ years tenure. You will discuss requirements, document user stories and will contribute to stand-ups, testing and reviewing other Devs pull requests.

What you'll need to succeed
We're looking for those with a logical approach to problem solving and that have built systems at a high level (from the ground up ideally). You can pick up new technologies with ease as you follow core software design patterns and principles including Domain Driven Design.

The roles are around 70% Back End so it's essential that you have a strong grounding in .Net (they are on to .Net 7 but .Net Core or similar will be fine), combined with a good knowledge of databases (SQL Server/NoSQL/MongoDB).

You'll consider yourself a full stack developer or will have aspirations to reach that level as the 30% will be JavaScript and knowledge of data binding/structuring pages rather than any design work. They are on to Angular 16/Angular Material but are quite happy to speak to those open to learning it, or transitioning from Vue / React / Svelte for example.

The ideal candidate will have Azure DevOps experience and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and the future looks like Machine Learning and Microsoft Orleans.

We would expect you to be able to display your passion for development at interview. Show us your Github, talk through personal projects or maybe something transferable form the Engineering/Science world.

This is a brand-new role and an exciting opportunity to become a Senior HR Advisor in a company that has ambitious plans to build on their success to date.

You will be a fundamental member of the team to ensure they deliver a positive culture that represents the business and their values. As a Senior HR Advisor, you will play a pivotal role in driving the strategic HR agenda while providing comprehensive HR support to designated business units. This is a varied, autonomous role that offers hybrid working (3 days office vs 2 days WFH) and an opportunity to occasionally travel internationally for work (3-4 times / year). Working hours: 37.5 / week with flexibility around start / finish times to suit you between 8am-6.30pm.

What you'll need to succeed

This position will suit someone with experience as a HR / People Advisor keen to step up. You must be an influential person who can build lasting relationships and who has integrity, resilience and great attention to detail with the ability to prioritise work effectively.

A CIPD qualification is required and you should be a strategic thinker with excellent interpersonal and negotiation skills, with an analytical mindset who is able to interpret HR data and metrics.

Your new company
I'm working exclusively with this product-development business to build out their Dev team with 3-4 hires. Having navigated Covid with no redundancies and growing their international customer base the plan is to add 40% headcount in the next 6 months so it's a really exciting time to be joining.

You'll be based from their modern head office in Central Bournemouth, two minutes from the beach and on direct train routes to London.

Your new role
Having gone through a modernisation effort in recent years (80% complete) these are hands-on positions working with cutting edge .Net technologies. You'll be working on new feature development for 2 of their core products, long term ongoing work as opposed to being pulled around between customers/projects.

They select the right tool from the job rather than being wedded to one stack and are always looking to the future, for example with Machine Learning capabilities (predictive analytics, LLM's and traditional AI).

The culture is relaxed and there's no red tape. You will be given a large element of control in your daily work alongside a team of 6 other talented Seniors with 5+ years tenure. You will discuss requirements, document user stories and will contribute to stand-ups, testing and reviewing other Devs pull requests.

What you\'ll need to succeed
We're looking for those with a logical approach to problem solving and that have built systems at a high level (from the ground up ideally). You can pick up new technologies with ease as you follow core software design patterns and principles including Domain Driven Design.

The roles are around 70% Back End so it's essential that you have a strong grounding in .Net (they are on to .Net 7 but .Net Core or similar will be fine), combined with a good knowledge of databases (SQL Server/NoSQL/MongoDB).

You'll consider yourself a full stack developer or will have aspirations to reach that level as the 30% will be JavaScript and knowledge of data binding/structuring pages rather than any design work. They are on to Angular 16/Angular Material but are quite happy to speak to those open to learning it, or transitioning from Vue / React / Svelte for example.

The ideal candidate will have Azure DevOps experience and knowledge of Docker, Kubernetes, CI/CD and the future looks like Machine Learning and Microsoft Orleans.

We would expect you to be able to display your passion for development at interview. Show us your Github, talk through personal projects or maybe something transferable form the Engineering/Science world.
