When working a shift on the Community Nursing Service, responsibilities will be carried out under the guidance of the patients Clinical Nurse and ESS Lead. Carries out all personal care and activities of daily living for individual patients and groups of patients as required. Carries out delegated nursing activities to assist nursing staff, e.g. catheter and stoma care, eye and mouth care and report findings to nursing staff. Keeps nursing staff informed of observations and changes in condition relating to patient care. Assists with general orderliness and homely atmosphere of the patients own home as appropriate Develops and maintains effective communication and liaison with patients, their families and carers. Becomes familiar with, and follows the agreed Hospice policies and procedures Contributes to maintaining the Hospices agreed philosophy, aims and objectives. Works as part of the team to promote an atmosphere in the Community conducive to lifelong learning and high standards of care. Promotes a safe environment for all patients, carers, visitors and staff in the Ward or the patients own home as appropriate. The post holder may be asked to support the Hospice In-patient Unit on occasions where capacity threatens the fundamentals of core delivery. In these instances responsibilities will be carried out under the guidance of the Ward Manager / Clinical Lead and the Team Leader for the shift.

The ICTs consist of nursing, therapy and reablement, with social work professionals also working alongside us. They work closely with GPs (including through case management), the local communities, the community hospital(s) and other partners, to enable people to live as independently as possible at home.

Field Sales Executive (Doorstep Canvasser)

Location: Community based out of Tewkesbury Head Office, initially supporting Cheltenham and Hereford Depots

Hours: Full-Time, 37.5 hours per week, typically Monday to Friday, 12:00 PM – 8:00 PM (includes travel time)

Salary: £27,000 - £30,000 per annum + unlimited commission potential (target of 50 new customers per week; £10 additional commission per customer beyond target)

Employment Type: Full-Time or Part-Time (pro-rata for part-time)

Working in pairs, you’ll be responsible for promoting our local delivery offerings directly to potential customers in targeted areas, enhancing our community reach. This role is central to our goal of creating a responsible and sustainable dairy community by connecting directly with our customers.

Key Responsibilities


Doorstep Canvassing: Conduct targeted doorstep outreach to promote Cotteswold Dairy’s local delivery services.
Brand Representation: Serve as a brand ambassador, professionally conveying our story and values to potential customers.
Product Knowledge: Communicate product offerings effectively, demonstrating a thorough understanding of our range and service network.
Customer Engagement: Overcome objections with a positive approach, securing new customer details and relaying them for processing.
Sales Goals: Work toward weekly targets with unlimited commission opportunities; £10 per customer beyond the initial 50 weekly target.
Travel: Travel to and from targeted areas as part of your working day.
Compliance: Follow all company guidelines and procedures to maintain high standards in customer interactions and data handling.


Requirements


License & Background Check: Full, clean UK driving license; DBS check.
Experience: Previous sales experience is advantageous but not essential.
Skills: Self-motivated, confident in engaging with the public, strong communicator, capable of working independently, trustworthy, and reliable with a strong work ethic.
