We’re recruiting a Senior Accommodation Support Officer to provide support to our established team as they assist our participants with their housing needs through effective interventions.



Our team of Accommodation Support Officers work with a caseload of adult males within the criminal justice system, in either a custodial or community setting. As a senior, you’ll be on hand to provide advice and guidance to the team where needed, and we’ll ask you to take care of a small amount of our more complex cases.



We’ll need your excellent interpersonal skills to build and maintain effective relationships with referral agencies and stakeholders. You’ll also be responsible for developing high-quality practice among the team through observing and auditing practice, and then providing coaching and mentoring workshops to enable them to develop.



Our successful candidate will ideally already have knowledge of housing and homelessness legislation or experience working within the criminal justice sector.

Support in the early identification of blockages within the inpatient wards to prevent further delays, alerting appropriate management when there is a potential for an escalation.8. To act as a representative at team meetings including the Bed Management Divisional wide conference call in the absence of the Capacity and Flow Manager.9. To ensure accurate reporting twice daily of the Divisional inpatient position, via the national Escalation Management System.10. Ensure effective communication of the Divisional inpatient position to the Trust wide leadership teams.11. The post holder will be expected to network with Local Authorities, other NHS Trusts, Private sectors and external agencies (i.e., Police) in order to promote positive working relationships with outside providers.12. Make or change bed allocation on behalf of the Division and ensure that relevant documentation and updates are available.14. To assist the Clinical Coding Manager in actively monitoring the completeness and timeliness of coding reporting within the strict monthly deadlines, raising any problems, including any backlogs, and their causes to the relevant divisional manager and any senior clinicians concerned. To attend internal and external meetings, events, and training as and when required and participate in and organise clinical coding workshops, awareness sessions and roadshows for all levels of staff. Attend multidisciplinary meetings to promote a thorough knowledge and understanding of clinical coding and its rules and conventions and raise awareness of the importance of complete, accurate and timely datato all levels of staff within the Trust. To lead the development, implementation, promotion and maintenance of local policy and guidance agreements that relate to clinical coding issues within the divisions. Ensure that all local staff adhere to policy agreements and that they are reviewed regularly and stored in a logical fashion. To assist in the induction, training and mentorship of all staff involved in clinical coding. To be aware of the reporting requirements of the divisions and provide regular feedback on coding, where it affects these areas, as well as specialist advice on the interpretation of diagnosis and procedures. To facilitate the data recall process by being the point of contact for providing details of codes used for specific diagnostic conditions and operative procedures for clinicians, service managers and information staff. To communicate effectively with non-clinical staff, clinicians, nurses, midwives, and managers both internal and external to the trust on coding issues. Attend multidisciplinary meetings, which require clinical coding input, providing regular feedback on coding issues to divisional management and ward staff. To participate in regular training to ensure that coding/leadership skills are continually being broadened and updated, by attending specialty workshops and in-house training as outlined in a personal development plan. The Clinical Coding Department at Liverpool Women’s Hospital is seeking an experienced Accredited Clinical Coder to join our supportive and skilled team.

The successful candidate will begin with an on-site induction period to ensure a smooth transition into the role. Following this, our empowered attendance policy allows those who meet required audit scores and productivity standards to work remotely if preferred. Remote staff are expected to attend occasional on-site meetings, events, and training sessions, typically about once per month.

We operate a flexible working policy with core hours from 10:00 to 12:00 and 14:00 to 15:00, Monday to Friday. Outside these hours, team members have the freedom to organise their own working hours, supporting a healthy work-life balance.
