RPS is looking for Senior EIA Consultant to join us to be based at either Abingdon, London, Cardiff, Manchester or Edinburgh. We are working on some of the most exciting Nationally Significant Infrastructure Projects in the UK and internationally, including large scale energy projects – think GW rather than MW! This includes solar, offshore wind, international interconnector and energy storage projects. We are the EIA lead for the Gatwick Airport Northern Runway Project, Morgan and Mona Offshore Wind Projects, Morgan and Morecambe Transmission Assets, TWP, XLinks interconnector and a large portfolio of energy storage and solar projects.

Our team works with bp renewables, EnBW, Flotation Energy, Alcemi, Photovolt Development Partners, XLinks, Statera and Radioactive Waste Management (RWM), as well as many major energy companies. What you’ll be doing

You’ll be working within a multi-disciplinary environment with the opportunity to be part of a highly regarded environmental planning team. You’ll partner with the wider RPS Health Impact Assessment, sustainability, climate change, planning, landscape, ecology, heritage and transport teams. You’ll manage a range of EIA projects within a consultancy environment and provide advice on EIA Regulations and screen, scope and produce Environmental Statements.

A typical week could include:

· Working as a primary point of client contact on some of the leading EIA projects in the UK

· Drafting reports, including project descriptions, non-technical summaries, scoping report and bid documents

· Sign off of ES documents in preparation for client or legal review

· Provision of advice regarding all aspects of EIA, including client and legal queries

· Working with our digital and design teams to take a leading in further developing our capacity in digital EIA

· Working to mentor junior or new members of the team

· Preparation of bid/tender documents with our bid team, as required

· Opportunities to work across a range of sectors

Who we’re looking for

You’ll have excellent report writing and review skills, be able to work collaboratively and have the ability to work with clients legal teams and other consultancies. A good eye for detail is essential as is strong problem-solving skills, helping to address client concerns and ‘make complex easy’. We’d like you to have:

· A first degree in a relevant environmental subject and ideally an MSc in a relevant topic e.g. Environmental Impact Assessment, Environmental Management or similar

· Experience of working in a consultancy environment, including experience of managing EIA projects (essential)

· Detailed knowledge of the EIA process (essential)

· An eye for detail (essential)

· Previous digital EIA experience or relevant skills (desirable)

· Experience in working on NSIPs/DCO projects (desirable)

· Experience in the energy sector or on infrastructure projects (desirable)

There will be some travel so a full UK driving license is required.

The aim of the post is to enable patients to have assessments and treatment plans carried out in their own homes following discharge from an acute hospital setting. You would be part of a multi-disciplinary health & social care team who work towards regaining or maintaining independence and quality of life. The post holder will have an allocated caseload of patients under the supervision of a registered professional.

Working under the supervision of Registered Nurses and within Trust guidelines & protocols, you’ll assist in delivering the excellent patient care you would expect for yourself and your loved ones.

Your duties will involve supporting patients with personal care needs and will involve traveling to patients’ homes from various locations. Duties also includes, collecting patients from the ward with D2A vehicle and driver. You will occasionally be required to drive the D2A vehicle when the driver is unavailable.

Following on the job training & assessment, you’ll learn how to undertake a range of delegated, duties that include recording patient observations & changes to clinical conditions.

ESSENTIAL
o Over 8 years proven experience in a similar role within a manufacturing environment
o Experience of managing a maintenance team
o Experience of managing projects, budgets and time
o Proven experience in risk management
o Proven experience of designing and maintaining a PPM schedule
o Experience in coaching/training operators on basic machine maintenance
o Driving licence
o Experience in management of H&S systems
o Relevant engineering qualifications

RESPONSIBLIITIES
o Ensure all machinery is running efficiently and any breakdowns are repaired quickly, continually monitoring and minimising the impact on production at all times
o Regular inspections of the building and machinery to detect and resolve problems early
o Train machine operatives on safe operation and maintenance of machinery
o Engineering project managing as required (e.g. researching new machinery/equipment, processes etc)
o Supervise all repairs carried out by external contractors or machine operators
o Ensure operators are completing daily maintenance checks on their machines, with accurate record keeping
o Respond to emergency maintenance calls
o Work closely with the factory manager to review and implement factory improvements
o Maintain adequate supplies of machine spares/tooling etc.
o Management of safety training for operators (FLT, stackers, machines etc.)
o Ensuring the factory operates to current H&S legislation and makes appropriate changes and/or suggestions to ensure we are working to this level at all times
o Ensure all regulatory maintenance is carried out when required (LOLER testing, pressure testing etc.)
o Supervision and management of the security contracts for the building
o Working with procurement when new machinery is purchased to ensure appropriate safety measures are considered, and training arranged for operators and maintenance staff
o Responsible for accurate and up to date record keeping for all planned and completed maintenance, including budget monitoring and control
o Clear and accurate communication to factory management and Directors relating to budgets, schedules and any unplanned expenses incurred
