We are recruiting for an Emergency Department Senior Flow Coordinator who shares our vision to be trusted to provide consistently outstanding care and exemplary service to our patients.
You will also cover the ED Bronze rota, dealing with escalations from the multi disciplinary teams and effectively resolving issues.
You will be a point of contact and liaise with the Site office, assigned managers of the day from both the Planned and Unplanned care teams, and escalate further to senior management throughout the day ensuring robust, effective communication between the Emergency Department and other areas.
This role includes supervising and ensuring everybody's training and trust mandatory training is up to date and carrying out staff appraisals.
You will lead by example and support the training and development of the Patient Flow Co-ordinators to ensure the team adds value and provides critical support throughout a patients ED episode, thus effectively contributing to the NHS Professional standards.
You will also manage the staff rota's in line with Trust policies and ensure robust, efficient cover of all Reception and ED Flow Coordinator staff.

Support the ED Service Coordinator/Service Manager in the day to day supervision of the team, ensuring any issues raised by the team and / or other colleagues are dealt with timely and effectively to prevent on-going issues.
Lead the design and delivery of individual development and induction programmes to ensure the team continues to provide an effective and efficient service.
Represent the team at key divisional meetings to ensure shared learning and information, as well as actively promoting the ED/Acute Flow Co-ordinator’s contribution to efficiency and performance compliance.
Provide expert advice and support to all patient Flow Co-ordinator on a day to day basis including; dealing with difficult and challenging situations.
To ensure efficient cover of staff for all areas of department, mitigating gaps and ensuring cover for annual leave and sickness where necessary, to escalate any forecast gaps or staff shortages to ED Service Coordinator.
