You will:

• Serve as a Senior Project or Program Manager by developing strategies to successfully implement program goals for site assessment, site cleanup, and redevelopment.
• Manage a variety of complex grants, cooperative agreements, and inter-agency agreements to states, tribes, local/federal governments, and nonprofits as well as EPA contracts for the assessment and cleanup of Brownfield sites.
• Support/Coordinate and conduct outreach and community involvement activities within EPA and with other entities to promote the assessment, cleanup, and economic and/or sustainable revitalization of Brownfields sites.
• Provide authoritative Brownfields policy, procedural and regulatory guidance and training to state, local, and tribal agencies, and non-government organizations, and support them in efforts to redevelop Brownfields sites. Support senior staff efforts to implement policy and analyze results.

You will spend 25-50%, of your work time on contracts, grants/cooperative agreements, and/or interagency agreements.

• Plans, organized, and oversees all unit level deployment activities. Assists senior Deployment Specialists in providing technical oversight/guidance on deployment planning and operations.
• Coordinates movement of personnel and equipment to deployment and training sites. Works with major tactical commands such as Central Command (CENTCOM), Pacific Command (PACOM), Transportation Command (TRANSCOM) and other Department of Defense (DoD) agencies to establish, monitor and report precise movement timelines, locations, quantities and destinations and transportation modes for personnel and equipment to be moved to the deployment Area of Responsibility (AOR) and training sites.
• Compiles, analyzes and maintains deployment data using automated equipment. Compiles, analyzes, interprets, and maintains data (TC-AIMS II, load plans, Organizational Equipment Listing (OEL)s, and personnel manifest) related to the movement of individuals and equipment, to include all modes of transport, both commercial and military.
• Prepares and provides briefings to Command staff agencies relative to deployments and unit movement documentation, load plans and Time Phased Forced Deployment (TPFFD).

The Front Line Manager is responsible for aviation safety activities in a complex and dynamic environment. Manages and monitors individual and unit, group, or team performance standards with organizational initiatives, goals, and objectives by providing feedback, acknowledging achievement, and addressing performance deficiencies. Incumbent has full authority and responsibility to make all decisions and take action in the assigned program areas, subject to the manager's administrative review. Higher-level management reviews performance periodically by utilizing/reviewing work products, status reports, and organizational measures in place to ensure timeliness, policy compliance, and overall alignment with the Flight Standards Service.

These positions are temporary and may not exceed 1039 hours (six months) in a service year.

Physical Demands at Denali Park: You will frequently experience moderate to heavy exertion during the use and transportation of materials and equipment. Heavy exertion is required to shovel heavy snow, carry and roll rocks and logs, to move rocks and tree stumps of several tons utilizing rock bars and hoists. You will frequently lift and carry objects weighing 20 to 100 pounds. You will hike up and down steep mountainous terrain, traveling up to 12 miles daily. Work requires extensive walking, standing, bending, kneeling, twisting, pushing, pulling, and working in awkward positions on uneven terrain. You will be required to wear protective equipment, such as a respirator, hearing protection, clothing and eye protection, and must meet physical requirements to do so.

Working Conditions at Denali Park: Work is performed outdoors approximately 80% of the time, in temperatures ranging from -40 degrees to 80 degrees Fahrenheit, often in periods of sunshine, rain, snow, sleet, or ice. Work requires travel on wet and slippery rocks, ice, snow, and at times crossing swift running water.
Outdoor work environment provides considerable exposure to potential insect activity, bee stings, poisonous plants, encounters with bears, and extreme cold temperatures, etc. You will use power equipment which makes excessive noise, vibration, and exhaust fumes. Trail work is hazardous in nature while falling and buckling trees, lifting and moving rocks, logs, and snow, etc.
