About the Role
Base Location: Eurocentral Glasgow or Perth
Salary: £46,626 - £54,154 + car / cash allowance and a range of benefits to support your finances, wellbeing and family.
Working Pattern: Permanent | Full Time | Flexible First options available
As a Project Manager you will support with the successful delivery of SSE's Out of Area Projects.
You will manage the external contractors and associated requirements for work on any connection to the Network. These connections include all voltages and the unmetered contractual connections.
We are looking for someone who is proactive and energetic, seeking to get things done, dealing with a variety of tasks.
Roles & responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
- Incorporate a positive safety culture in everything you do, making sure all Contractors and Direct Labour are set to work safely.
- Ensure all relevant safety reports are completed and collated on time and that the correct operational safety procedures are being adhered to by everyone.
- Make sure that all jobs are delivered to a high standard in line with SSEN specifications, on budget and within time frame.
- Understand and administer the accepted jobs, track expenditure, raise invoice requests and prompt payment of invoices to contracted parties.
- Project engagement with all levels of both internal and external stakeholders. Working collaboratively with the internal departments to see through projects from the initial enquiry stages to job completion.
What do I need?
To be considered for this role, we would love you to have:
- Experience of electrical project delivery.
- An HNC in Electrical & Electronic Engineering or relevant experience in a similar role.
- Operational knowledge of the distribution network up to and including 11kv.
- Health & safety experience and qualifications (e.g.SMSTS).
- An excellent communicator with great stakeholder management skills and an ability to work at all levels of the organisation.
Travel is required and as a result we can only accept applications from candidates that hold a current full UK driving licence.
