Join a thriving Music Department
Are you a passionate and committed Teacher of music looking to join and lead a close knit department where you can make an impact? At Clacton Coastal Academy (CCA), you will lead a dedicated team of teachers, including an ECT and external staff, who deliver music lessons. You will also actively encourage volunteers from the local community.
What makes our music department special?
- Student-centred learning: Students regularly choose Music as a Key Stage 4 BTEC and A Level option.
- Active participation: Our students actively participate in all school events, showcasing their vocal and instrumental talents.
- Exceptional resources: Students refine their skills using a comprehensive suite of resources, including SoundTrap for music production and dedicated practice rooms.
- Beyond the classroom: We run extracurricular sessions for Key Stage 4 and A Level students where they engage in activities such as band practices, revision sessions, and performances at local venues, making music a cornerstone of their educational experience.
At CCA we prioritise staff development, offering CPD opportunities and Instructional Coaching to all our teachers with dedicated time given to teachers to support them in this process. Middle leaders are highly valued within the school, with plenty of scope for career progression, including support for National Professional Qualifications (NPQs).
