Pay Rate: up to £296.00 per day PAYE depending on experience (tbc)
37 Monday – Friday, normal working hours
This opening assignment is for 4 months

Hybrid working
The role is to undertake all fire safety management duties, manage the FRA remedial works programme, act as the lead for property fires, liaise with GMFRS for and to work with the Building Safety Manager in managing 12,500 stock, including high rise accommodation. Help shape the team’s approach to fire & building safety. In particular you will help prepare the organisation for the impending legislative changes. Help establish policies, procedures and systems that ensure fire & building safety is managed with appropriate records kept.
Establish and maintain key working relationships such as with the neighbourhood teams regarding resident engagement. Be out on site regularly undertaking inspections, surveys and audits to buildings and in particular to the in-scope buildings.
In addition, you will assist with the fire risk assessment programme. You will assist in ensuring actions are fully addressed with appropriate evidence. Also follow up on incidents, be involved in new developments and provide help and advice to all colleagues and managers across the business.
Key Receptibilities:
Ensure the effective delivery of all fire safety works are completed to a high level of customer satisfaction, to a standard of legal compliance.
Providing assurance to the Head of Design & Delivery, Executive Management team and the relevant Corporate Board and the Housing Advisory Board on all fire safety compliance matters.
Support and advice on procurement of contractors for fire safety works, drafting work specifications and quality standards where needed.
Participate on tender of valuation and contractor selection as required.
Providing ongoing advice on the competency of contractors to undertake works and ensuring robust contract management of the selected contractors by monitoring quality of work to determine compliance with fire safety legislation and guidance.
Ensure fire risk assessments, inspections and audits across all stock, including residential premises, and workplaces are undertaken.
Develop and implement fire safety emergency plans and procedures for all residential and workplace premises.
Qualifications:
Level 3 Award in Fire Safety Management
Knowledge:
Sound technical knowledge and experience; organised and methodical with a logical approach to building and fire safety.
Experience:
Experience of practical application.
Skills & Abilities:
Great IT skills who can produce reports and statistical data that provide good information that improves understanding.
Able to demonstrate current knowledge of relevant legislation
