Based in Glasgow providing services across Scotland from Dundee to Dumfries and Galloway including Hybrid working
Permanent full time, (37.5 hours per week)

This is a great job opportunity for a Housing Manager to join Home Groups awesome housing team in Scotland. As our Housing Manager within the private sector, you’ll be our whizz within our factored and mid-market rented portfolio. You’ll be providing safe homes and communities where people choose to live, and it’s the perfect job for you if you like variety and delivering excellent services to our customers and communities.
Typical day as a Housing Manager
- Through visibility, engagement with customers and proactivity on our estates, you’ll really get to get to know our communities.
- You’ll look after a number neighbourhoods with the team
- Proactively managing income maximisation, repairs fulfilment, estate and repairs inspections and fire safety.
- You’ll be using your expertise in housing legislation relating to factoring and mid-market service to manage arrears and ensuring our customers have full understanding of their rights and responsibilities.
- You’ll be collaborating with internal and external stakeholders who service the communities we support.
- Carry out estate inspections, engaging and meeting with contractors on site, as well as carrying out and recording the routine safety and compliance checks in our buildings and communities.

About You
- We need someone who knows factoring inside out, with a knowledge of regulatory frameworks and legislation.
- You’ll also have experience with estate and property management.
- Super organised and methodical in your approach, you’re also a proactive self-starter with a “can do” positive attitude
- Passionate about delivering excellent customer service and have a genuine desire to help your customers.
- This job can challenge, especially when we’re dealing with complaints, but your resilience will help you through.
- Confident working with external partners and stakeholders such as local authorities, MP’s etc
- Like being part of a team but appreciate that this is a role where you’ll spend most of your time managing your own workload.

Job details
- This is a hybrid role and in an average week, you’ll spend some days in the office with colleagues, others travelling to properties across Scotland and on occasion from home or within our community patches
- There may be some flexibility to adapt your working hours, do let us know about this when you meet us at the interview
- We mainly work Monday to Friday and work occasional evenings to meet with customers. The great news is that you’ll be able to shape your own diary.
- To get from A to B, you’ll need to drive and have access to a vehicle insured for business purposes. The great news is that we’ll pay your mileage!
- You’ll need a Standard DBS check done and we pay for that.
