THE ROLE:

The SEMI Foundation is seeking an experienced Program Director, Global Workforce Development with excellent leadership, organizational and communications skills to work with Foundation leadership to conceive, support, organize, promote, and implement effective workforce development initiatives across SEMI’s global Asia-Pacific regions. We are looking for a seasoned professional who has a keen understanding of workforce development in the semiconductor industry, particularly in Taiwan, Korea, Japan, China, Southeast Asia, and India and who is eager to contribute to both building programs and shifting an industry toward more inclusive and equitable hiring and retention. The Director will be responsible for coordinating strategies, partnerships and programs that: identify and facilitate the awarding of public and private funding for workforce development; expand and strengthen industry image and awareness initiatives; support and expand training programs; and support SEMI member companies in their efforts to attract, hire, train, and retain a larger and more diverse workforce.

The Director will grow and oversee a portfolio of regionally based workforce development partnerships and networks that support training and career awareness programs, coordinating programmatic activities with employers and partners. This person will work with the Foundation team in designing and realizing broader strategic goals, such as incubating pilot programs, identifying synergies among programs and regions, and building the SEMI Foundation’s capacity to serve and support workers and employers worldwide.

The Director will work in close collaboration with a wide range of external stakeholders, including employers and industry consortia, training providers, secondary and post-secondary education, community-based organizations, and government agencies. The successful candidate will bring significant strategic leadership, project management, organizational, and interpersonal skills to the table. The Director will be able to align organizations in the private and public sectors to leverage resources and to create partnerships that support employers participating in training collaboratives and other programs.

CORE QUALIFICATIONS AND EXPERIENCE:

· Extensive experience in and keen understanding of the workforce development field, including managing industry-led, worker-centric programs with multiple partners across the workforce networks

ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

· In collaboration with Foundation leadership, oversee the design, development, and implementation of workforce development programs in the SEMI and SEMI Foundation portfolios in regions across the globe

· Coordinate and connect workforce development staff across SEMI Asia-Pacific regions; identify synergies, leverage resources, and working with SEMI, SEMI Foundation and SEMI Europe, build and support a global WFD network

JOB SUMMARY

Responsible for Operational Excellence through Owner, Tenant and Member (collectively “Residents”) communication and engagement, problem resolution and timely follow up. • Taking minutes, setting up of meeting agenda, and dictations.
• Organizes foreign travel arrangements, visas, itineraries, travel expense claims and maintenance of all travel records.

The imcumbent will ensure Terumo Asia Pacific contributes to the expansion of Asia business, formulating the regional strategy of picture of future Asia, setting up the business infrastructure, and investing necessary managerial resources promptly.

Reporting to the General Manager, the successful candidate plays a critical role in leading the engineering team, ensuring compliance with industry standards and regulations.

Responsibilities:

• Project management – oversee and manage the planning, design, and execution of engineering projects. Communicate project progress and technical information to the senior management to ensure timely and accurate completion, within budget, and to the required quality standards.
• Troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues. Ensure all engineering activities comply with industry standards, regulations and company policies.
• Provides technical leadership, training and direction to the subordinates.
• Maximise maintenance team potential with a balanced focus on operations, guests, employees and owner satisfaction.
• Proper records keeping relating to all plant and equipment for the hotel including repair and maintenance.
• Ensure that stores have adequate stocks of materials, equipment, and tools are kept in a clean and safe environment
• Take responsibility for the cleanliness and safety aspects of all plant and mechanical equipment rooms
• Responsible for quality service, short and long-term planning, daily operations as well as preventive maintenance standards.

Prerequisites:

• Bachelor degree in Engineering related trade.
• At least 5 years related experience
• Proficient in MS Office applications and presentation skills
• Able to train, coach, motivate and develop staff
• With certification as FSM will be an added advantage
