DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILTIES:
• In charge of general management of the Company in alignment with the Company’s strategic objectives.
• Design strategic plan and set goals for the development and growth of the Company.
• Supervise the operation of the Company’s offshore drilling rigs efficiently and effectively.
• Engage with clients/stakeholders on a regular basis to assess and respond to market demands of the rig.
• Oversee specific marketing and business development activities to expand market reach and enhance competitive positioning.
• Review and analyse market trends and report the relevant findings to Board of Directors and makes recommendations on future development of new and existing market sectors.
• Achieve or exceed targeted revenues, cash targets, profit and utilization. Oversee the budgeting process to reflect company targets.
• Evaluate and monitor performance against budgets and recommend appropriate actions for implementation.
• Ensure that robust risk management processes are in place and risks are effectively managed, particularly in respect of finance and operation areas.
• Promote business initiatives in term of human resource, technical performance, schedule, and profitability.
• Maintain effective programs in areas of Health-Safety-Environment (HSE), sustainability, ethics and security.
• Oversee recruitment and monitor staff’s performances and maintain employee commitment to the Company by promoting suitable compensation and benefit schemes.
MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:
Potential candidates are required to meet the following criteria:
• Bachelor's Degree or higher in either Petroleum Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or Business Administration, Law.
• At least fifteen (15) years working in the oil and gas drilling industry, with experience working with National Oil Companies and Oil & Gas Regulators in Asian countries considered an advantage.
• Well-versed with regulatory requirements and industrial standards for offshore drilling operation particularly in Vietnam, Singapore, Malaysia, Indonesia, Thailand, Brunei, Myanmar, Cambodia.
• Thorough understanding of oil and gas drilling business, specifically for Southeast Asian markets.
• Comprehensive knowledge of corporate business and management principles (budgeting, strategic planning, resource allocation and human resources).
• Strong analytical ability, problem-solving and decisional-making skills, complemented by excellent communication skills.
• Outstanding organizational and leadership skills and ability to contribute to Board level discussion.
• Good command of Microsoft Office applications (MS Word, Excel, Project,), and Maximo.
• Proficiency in English and good command in Vietnamese.
