Prepare and operate equipment and disposables to perform carbon dioxide flushing of the operative field. Modify the extra corporeal circuit in order to facilitate haemoconcentration and modified ultra-filtration. Disassembly and disposal of all used consumable equipment in accordance with Trust and departmental guidelines. Observe recognised surgical standards of aseptic technique at all appropriate times. Maintain, clean and calibrate equipment, keeping relevant departmental records. Assist in the development and subsequent assessment of appropriate evaluation techniques for new equipment and techniques. Lead research and development projects, assisting in their initiation and control. Ensure there are adequate stock levels in all clinical areas, ordering additional stock when required. My client has a strong pipeline of work in the water industry and, in this role, you will hold overall responsibility for the end-to-end delivery of all programmes of work. Your new role
As Operations Director you will be responsible for, but not limited to:

Deputy Chief Technician, Clinical Trials Band 6 - Chelsea based
An exciting and unique opportunity has arisen for an enthusiastic, dynamic and self-motivated professional to join our clinical trials team at the Chelsea site of the Royal Marsden.

You will be part of a team consisting of Pharmacists, Technicians and Assistants, who are always striving for excellence in all aspects of our work. We are working collaboratively as part of a Multi-Disciplinary Team to ensure we always deliver outstanding care to our patients.

It is an exciting time to join the Royal Marsden Hospital Clinical Trials Department. Our service is built around providing a high-quality service to our patients and staff of the Trust. The department works closely with the Institute of Cancer Research and the post-holder will be supporting the development of innovative new cancer medicines as these drugs enter early phase clinical trials. The Oak Cancer Centre (a new, state-of-the-art treatment and research facility) opened in 2023 in Sutton which will speed up the translation of world-leading research into breakthroughs in treatment and care, transforming the lives of cancer patients at The Royal Marsden and beyond.

The hospital introduced the EPIC digital health record system in March 2023, and we are looking to use the full capabilities of this system to become a truly paperless department.
