The Business Development Manager will play a critical role in driving the brand’s growth through strategic partnerships, market expansion, and sales channel development. This individual will identify new opportunities, nurture key relationships, and implement strategies to enhance the brand’s presence, revenue, and customer engagement.
You will also be responsible for:
1. Strategic Partnerships
- Identify, negotiate, and manage partnerships that align with the brand’s values and goals.
- Collaborate with complementary brands for co-marketing and cross-selling opportunities.
- Secure placement in new retail and e-commerce channels.
2. Market Expansion
- Develop and execute strategies to penetrate new markets and customer segments.
- Lead efforts to expand the brand’s presence in international markets, including securing export partnerships.
3. Sales Channel Development
- Manage and grow relationships with retail and distribution partners to maximize sales and visibility.
- Optimize direct-to-consumer (D2C) strategies and identify opportunities on e-commerce platforms.
4. Customer Acquisition & Retention
- Work with the marketing team to design campaigns targeting customer acquisition and retention.
- Collaborate on loyalty programs and initiatives to deepen customer engagement.
5. Corporate Sales & B2B Opportunities
- Develop partnerships for corporate gifting, employee wellness programs, and bulk orders.
- Create customized solutions for business clients to drive revenue.
6. Market Research & Insights
- Conduct in-depth market research to understand competitive landscapes and consumer behavior.
- Identify trends and provide insights to influence product development and branding strategies.
7. Revenue Growth
- Implement innovative strategies to drive revenue growth across all sales channels.
- Collaborate with sales teams to introduce new pricing models or promotional strategies.
8. Relationship Management
- Build and maintain strong relationships with key stakeholders, including retail partners, vendors, and distributors.
- Ensure partners are well-supported and aligned with the brand’s objectives.
9. Brand Representation
- Represent the brand at trade shows, exhibitions, and industry events.
- Deliver compelling presentations to potential partners and stakeholders.
10. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with product, marketing, and sales teams to align business development initiatives with overall brand goals.
- Act as a liaison between external partners and internal teams to ensure seamless execution.
We would want to speak with you if you are / have –
- Minimum 5 years of experience in business development, sales, or strategic partnerships, preferably in the consumer goods or retail industry.
- Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, or a related field.
- Proven ability to develop and execute business growth strategies.
- Strong negotiation, communication, and relationship-building skills.
- Analytical mindset with a track record of using market insights to inform decisions.
- Proficiency in CRM software and Microsoft Office Suite.
It would be great if you have:
- Experience working with sustainability-focused or innovative consumer brands.
- Familiarity with the retail and e-commerce landscapes in Singapore and Southeast Asia.
- Success in driving customer acquisition, retention, and revenue growth through partnerships.
