The Role
The Housing Options Officer (Rough Sleeping) will provide a range of interventions as key worker to support rough sleepers through key transitions from the street, through respite and recovery into longer term accommodation and enabling them to greatly improved health and wellbeing.
You will work with a wide range of partner agencies as part of a Multi-Disciplinary team including outreach, navigators, health, addiction and mental health professionals and the voluntary sector. The role offers great opportunities to support people with trauma informed approach and principles of co-production to help them to positive longer-term lives and improved outcomes.
About You
As Housing Option Officer (Rough Sleeping) you will have excellent communication skills that will enable you to build trust and rapport with people with often challenging and complex needs.
You will work effectively with partner agencies to support people through key transitions whilst maintaining a positive supportive approach focussing on harm reduction and supporting people through relapse to positive outcomes.
You will be able to work creatively with other professionals to best support people and will engage in processes of reflective practice and co-production to ensure our services remain client focussed and personalised to individual need.
You will also be able to work flexibly throughout the week including early morning, evenings and occasionally weekends to ensure engagement and deliver effective outreach.
