We run services and dedicated women’s centres for those who are at risk or struggling with challenging circumstances, including women in the criminal justice system and those with experience of trauma, selling sex or sexual exploitation.

Childhood abuse and domestic abuse are common features in the lives of the women we support which impact on their health and wellbeing. To work as a member of the Changing Lives Through Outreach team providing a safe, confidential and supportive service for women involved in sex work and those who are vulnerable to sexual exploitation.
Interacting with women online, offering emotional and practical support, and advising them so they are able to stabilise their situation, and access appropriate services and support.
To promote the service to external agencies and promote good practice with regards to Online Harms & Tech Abuse.

OPA - EC&I ENGINEER. DUE 13/11/24

• 6-month contract
• Monday to Thursday - 08:00 - 16:30 & Friday 08:00 - 13:00

Role requirements:

To carry out the tasks and duties of a Project Electrical Controls & Instrument (EC&I) Engineer, to deliver the following:

• Plan, manage and execute the programme of works for electrical, controls & instrument engineering tasks associated with Major Projects delivery in line with company standards and relevant UK / European legislation, making reference to the OPA's Technical Authority for EC&I Engineering where necessary.
• Develop EC&I scopes of work relevant to all stages of the project lifecycle.
• Complete activities required on specified Major Projects ensuring they are fully compliant with company policies, procedures and legal requirements, particularly safety and ensuring safe systems of work.
• Liaise with members of the OPA Technical Authority Team and Asset Integrity Team, within the OPA Engineering Division, on engineering/safety standards & codes, documentation and asset integrity.
• Produce detailed programme of works/Gantt charts etc.
• Contribute to budgets and forecasts for work.
• We require all people on site, including contractors to behave in a manner consistent with OPA Values.
• May be asked to complete additional tasks required by OPA providing it is within the scope of qualifications and experience of an EC&I Engineer.

Must hold a relevant Degree in Electrical or Control & Instrumentation and significant project management experience, preferably within a COMAH regulated industry/operation. Chartered or working towards chartership with the relevant Institution

Knowledge/Skills:

• A minimum of 5 years' experience as a disciplined Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineer, working with onsite Engineering Projects Teams and contractors, to ensure modifications to equipment or the construction of new assets within an industrial environment are fully executed safely and to the required standards.
• Solid understanding of good project management principles.
• Has experience around coordination and delivery of multiple Electrical, Control and Instrumentation Engineering Projects monitoring progress against time and budget.

OPA - MECHANICAL ENGINEER. DUE 13.11.24

To act as a Technical Lead for the OPA Major Projects team in respect to Mechanical Engineering activities associated with the Major Projects currently ongoing across the OPA. Ensuring all mechanical engineering activities associated with design and delivery of the Major Projects are completed to full compliance with company standards and UK / European legislation.

Job Purpose:

With the responsibility for the oversight of all Mechanical Engineering activities from design to construction within the Capital Projects Team and/or engineering works associated with Capital Project delivery at any one time, the job entails overseeing professional contract engineers, consultant companies and construction teams, who conduct engineering activities on behalf of OPA. You will need to be able to demonstrate a proven experience of the design and construction of fuel storage tanks and process pipework. There will be a need to build strong credible working relationships with all internal stakeholders, in particular, other members of the delivery team, HSSEQ, and other engineering colleagues. These working relationships will also, need extending to external stakeholders such as the O&M Contractor, HSE, EA and our MOD Sponsors.

Key Duties:

We are looking for local people to join us as the steady, reliable presence in the lives of vulnerable young people.

The work is varied, interesting and sometimes challenging – we need people who are flexible and able to turn their hands to a range of different things during each shift. You will be overseeing the building and the behaviour of thirty young people, and no day is ever predictable (although, after a while, you’ll learn to feel it in your toes when something might be brewing).

You will be working alone, responsible for everything that happens on your watch. You will be carrying out regular patrols to make sure all is well, and keeping clear, detailed records of everything that happens. HOURS OF WORK

An average of 40 hours per week, with variable hours, including daytime and night shifts. We have regular hours or a varierd pattern available.

We confirm shifts a minimum of one week in advance.

The usual shifts are days (approx. 8-4), evenings (approx. 3-11), nights (approx. 11-8) and weekends (either 8am to 8pm or 8pm to 8am).


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES

- To attend shifts reliably and on time in order to ensure continuous cover.
- To carry out daily administrative tasks, including taking rent, answering telephone calls and providing appropriate information to callers in accordance with procedure.
- To be responsible for client interviews, move-ins and move-outs, including inductions, benefit applications and accompanying paperwork.
- To provide a visible security presence, patrolling premises as scheduled and dealing with issues arising.
- To ensure that buildings and entry points are secure.
- To clean communal areas, bathrooms, toilets and vacant bedrooms as needed.

The work is varied, interesting and sometimes challenging – we need people who are flexible and able to turn their hands to a range of different things during each shift. You will be overseeing the building and the behaviour of thirty young people, and no day is ever predictable (although, after a while, you’ll learn to feel it in your toes when something might be brewing).

You will be working alone, responsible for everything that happens on your watch. You will be carrying out regular patrols to make sure all is well, and keeping clear, detailed records of everything that happens. If something needs to be addressed, you will be dealing with it – that might include a cleaning task, dealing with anti-social behaviour or damage, investigating an incident or liasing with the emergency services.

HOURS OF WORK
Six nights on / Six off regular pattern. Monday to Friday shifts are 10.45pm to 8.15am / Saturday and Sunday shifts are 8pm to 8am.


MAIN RESPONSIBILITIES
