Ensure patients are supported using a multi - professional approach and are referred in a timely manner according to multi professional guidelines for best practice. Maintain accurate records, ensuring that all entries on Crosscare and related documentation are entered frequently to agreed standards. Liaise with other agencies to facilitate systems for transfer of information as necessary. Working within the defined Rapid Response protocol and in collaboration with Triage and the CNSs support the Rapid Response /Urgent care element of the Hospice at Home Service, visiting patients and families in crisis in order to prevent inappropriate admissions to Hospital. Participate in the on call Rota which covers Princess Alice Hospice catchment area. Function as a professional role model for specialist palliative care, providing strong and effective clinical leadership. Undertake complex and sensitive holistic care assessments using physical assessment skills to plan, implement and evaluate care, utilising care planning and excellent communication skills. Improve access to medication through the support and implementation of Nurse Independent Prescribing - Prescribe within scope of practice / area of competency - Follow locally approved clinical guidelines and NICE and be within an agreed formulary if applicable. - Provide cost effective prescribing activity. - Regularly review prescribing activity and implement change as necessary. - Have prescribing activity audited annually. - Work within the framework of the Hospice Non-Medical Prescribing Policy. Management: Support the locality leads and Associate Director in delivering the strategic direction of the Hospice and the clinical business plan. Submit statistics and activity reports as required. Influence palliative care nursing practice and policy through working in partnership and networking with colleagues. Ensure the effective use of resources required to meet service objectives. Promote harmonious relationships within the inter-professional team. Act as an ambassador for Princess Alice Hospice at all times, including representing the Hospice in fundraising and PR activities as requested. Receive and disseminate information through attendance at team meetings, the monthly H@H team meeting and appropriate meetings with other hospices and palliative care teams. Educational: Continue personal professional development, to ensure clinical effectiveness of self and to have a positive commitment to ensure that all appraisal objectives are met. Feedback all materials and information obtained at study days and other forms of study. Receive regular clinical supervision to ensure the maintenance of professional growth. Participate in the development and delivery of formal educational programmes for professionals in Princess Alice Hospice, the community and other educational establishments. Identify the specific training and educational needs of patients and carers and facilitate meeting these needs. • Provide advice on the design of fixtures, programs, and tools.
• Train and guide operators and junior members of staff.
• Conduct self-inspections.
• Complete necessary quality audits to obtain self-certification inspection stamps.
• Follow engineering drawings, inspection plans, and shop documentation.
• Adopt and implement lean manufacturing principles.
• Perform basic preventative maintenance on machinery.

Background - Toolmaker Machinist

• Experience within a tool room or single piece manufacture environment.
• Apprentice trained / Time Served
• Evidence of previous engineering or manufacturing roles.
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
• Able to work on an AM/Pm shift rota
• Able to drive lean manufacturing tools and techniques, including 5S.
