Are you an experienced manager with a passion for people? Do you have proven experience in developing staff teams and implementing change? Do you have experience in working with young people?
We are looking for a Service Manager to lead the staff team in our Young People (18-25years old) service in Grieg House in London. While the successful applicant will have practical experience in change management, they will also be enthusiastic, a good communicator, passionate and positive.
Job Summary:
The service will support up to 20 Young People within Greig House, located in Poplar, London.
The service will provide person-centred individual support to Young People with low to medium support needs.
Service will follow Trauma and Psychologically informed frameworks for support provided to Young People
Young People will be referred to the service by the Housing Options and Support Team (HOST) and the Through Care Services (TCS).
Key Responsibilities: This role is vital to the success of the projects providing leadership and inspiration to the staff and encouraging an enabling environment, leading in psychologically informed practice within the values of The Salvation Army. The successful candidate will be in sympathy with the Christian ethos of the Salvation Army and will be responsible for all aspects of the programme including the spiritual ministry. The role requires liaison with the Local Authority Commissioners and pathway co-ordinator, as well as other agencies.
The successful candidate(s) will be able to demonstrate: NVQ4 or equivalent in a related field; Proven experience of managing teams; excellent communication skills; knowledge of health and safety; understanding of funding in supported housing; ability to build positive partnerships.
This role has an occupational requirement that the successful candidate must be a committed and practising Christian and will be in sympathy with the doctrines of, and supportive of, the purposes and the aims and objectives of The Salvation Army.
