Duties and Responsibilities:
As a IT Consultant/Programmer, you will be responsible for analysing, assessing, designing, developing, testing, implementing maintaining and supporting quality applications that supports the company’s key objectives.
Main responsibilities include:
• Writing software code, automated unit tests, and debugging the code to delivery documented working software that meets the requirements in accordance to FedEx secure code practices, policies and established coding standards.
• Translate business requirements and system requirements into detailed technical specifications or business features and user stories using the SAFe Agile framework.
Provide technical mentoring and guidance to other developers.
• Design application solutions that meet complex business requirements, modelling the solution and implement code reviews and other quality management practices across a team of developers.
• Implement software development design patterns to deliver on complex technical requirements to deliver well-engineered working software that is scalable, resilient, maintainable, performant, secure, fault-tolerant, portable, extensible, reusable, testable and easy to use.
• Design and execute complex application testing for functional and non-functional testing including stress and load testing, building test doubles/hubs, test management data, regression testing and complex scenario and use case management.
Analyst and Support Tasks:
• Consultation and analysis of key systems with Stakeholder.
• Collaborating with the enterprise Applications Team and Operations Team around production incidents involving integration to directly or indirectly ensure their timely resolution/recovery and preventative measures are taken to avoid recurrence and minimize business impact
• Maintenance of operational and end-user documentation
• Planning and technical delivery of integration work packages
Experience and Qualifications:
• Solid experience using Java JMS API in a Linux/Unix environment.
• Experience in developing Java applications in Cloud Native environment.
• Experience in building microservices using Spring Core and Spring Cloud.
• Extensive knowledge and experience in using Microservices Architecture Patterns.
• Experience in TDD and BDD practices using Java & Spring based Junit & BDD frameworks.
• Good knowledge and experience in using Kafka for message streaming and for event driven pub/sub notifications.
• Experience in using any caching solutions such as Redis/Hazel cast.
• Experience with DevOps tools like GitHub, Jenkins.
• Experience in modern networking, IPV4 stack, ICMP, UDP, TCP/IP, socket programming.
• Experience with working with databases e.g. MSSQL, MYSQL, Informix, Oracle
• Proven ability with interpreting business requirements, analyse and design solutions and author technical development documents.
• Expert knowledge and understanding of software development design patterns, end-to-end system quality management and software lifecycle management methodologies.
• Proven ability to lead the development of software development projects.
• Proven ability to lead the coaching and mentoring of other developers.
• Bachelor’s degree in computer science, engineering, information systems or similar
SAFe Agile certification highly desirable
Pay -$70,000 - $90,000 Per Year
