ICS Group Pty Ltd are seeking skilled HV Commissioning Engineers to lead and perform high-voltage testing and commissioning activities for primary and secondary equipment. There are currently 4 open positions of this role available. This role is critical for ensuring the safe and efficient energization of electrical infrastructure across various projects.
Key Responsibilities:
- Conduct HV testing and commissioning for primary equipment up to 330kV, including transformers, circuit breakers, switchgear, and protection relays.
- Lead secondary injection testing, including protection relay testing for transformer, line, generator, and motor protection.
- Review and utilize design documents to validate protection schemes and coordinate integration.
- Develop commissioning plans, sequences, and ITPs, ensuring project completion aligns with client expectations and safety standards.
- Collaborate with internal teams, providing technical guidance, risk assessments, and managing resources effectively.
Qualifications and Experience:
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent.
- Minimum 5 years of industry experience in testing and commissioning HV equipment.
- Minimum 2 years of Supervisor or Lead Engineer/Engineering Technologist experience.
- Prior experience on mine sites is preferred.
- Proficiency in protection relay software and testing tools (Omicron, Doble, or similar).
- Knowledge of IEC 61850 is advantageous.
This is a full time role working 38 hours per week.
A remuneration package between $130,000 - $150,000 per annum will be offered to the successful candidates.
