Guy's ACU provides assisted conception, diagnostic, PGT and fertility preservation services. Founded in 1991, Guy’s ACU is one of the UK's largest assisted conception clinics offering both NHS and self-funded fertility care. Our state of the art laboratory utilises time-lapse incubator technology and the best equipment to allow us to deliver optimal care. We operate a seven day service caring for patients who are undergoing funded treatment and attract both national and international self-referrals. An exciting opportunity has arisen for a highly motivated HCPC registered Embryologist to join our team. Guy's ACU Embryology requires high calibre, focused individuals to join the team and support our expanding OTC service. You will undertake all routine andrology and embryology procedures as well as support the training of new laboratory team members. There will be the opportunity to complete further training to undertake embryo biopsy for the largest PGT programme in the UK. In addition to this we require scientists with clinical experience in ovarian tissue cryopreservation and HTA regulations to support Guy's OTC programme. You will also perform a range of administrative, diagnostic and support activities that are critical in delivering a high quality service and helping our patients achieve their dreams of a family. (This a fixed term maternity cover, with potential to extend, if service demands require).

The successful candidate will work closely with the embryology, OTC and wider ACU teams to undertake a range of activities that support Guy's ACU and enable us to provide assisted conception, diagnostic testing, PGT-m and PGT-sr, fertility preservation and support the OTC programme. We operate a seven day service to ensure the best results and options for our patients.

Medical Staff Management To work with colleagues to ensure junior doctors hours are compliant in line with EWTD and New Deal To ensure that adequate systems and procedures are in place to control and monitor leave for junior medical staff and to ensure that there is appropriate cover within the clinical areas, including on-call commitments To participate in the recruitment of junior medical staff as and when required. To participate in team objective setting as part of the annual job planning cycle. To be responsible for the annual appraisal of all doctors in training, Trust doctors, Clinical Fellows and non-consultant grades as delegated by the Clinical Director/General Manager. Governance To review clinical outcomes in designated area using external benchmarking data where appropriate, to identify and advise variances to the Clinical Director. Participate in clinical audit, incident reporting and analysis and to ensure resulting actions are implemented. To work closely with the Directorate, Patient and Public Involvement panels in relation to clinical and services developments as delegated by the Clinical Director. Participate in ensuring NICE requirements are reviewed and implemented and monitored in the speciality areas. To ensure clinical guidelines and protocols are adhered to by junior medical staff and updated on a regular basis. To keep fully informed about best practice in the speciality areas and ensure implications for practice changes are discussed with the Clinical Director. To role model good practice for infection control to all members of the multidisciplinary team. Strategy and Business Planning To participate in the business planning and objective setting process for the directorate and Trust where appropriate. To represent the Trust at appropriate clinical networks/other external clinical meetings, as delegated by the Clinical Director. Morgan Hunt have partnered with an established charity who are seeking to recruit an Employability Tutor in Northampton. This is a full time permanent role working on site. The salary for this role is paying up to £26,000. The primary function of this role is to deliver Employability programmes whilst embedding Functional Skills to post 16 learners. The ideal candidate for this role will have experience in teaching Employability programmes to post 16 learners.




The Employability Tutor will be responsible for:

• designing, planning and delivering interactive lessons to learners studying Employability qualifications
• contributing to the course review process, curriculum development and quality assurance in line with the organisations policies and procedures
• ensuring learners documentation is correct completed to ensure eligibility for funding
• attending regular meetings with the quality team

The Employability Tutor will need to hold:

• a Level 3 (or above) qualification in any vocational subject
• a Level 3 (or above) teaching qualification or assessing qualification (the client is willing to consider someone with Employability teaching experience who does not possess a teaching qualification)
• previous experience in teaching learners aged between 11-16 or 16-18 on either Traineeship, Employability Skills or Study Programme courses
