We are seeking enthusiastic Acute Medical Consultants to join our dynamic Acute Medical department and support the developing service within our new Integrated Front Door. This is an exciting opportunity to shape and enhance our Same Day Emergency Care offerings and facilitate smooth patient flow through Acute Medicine. Both full time and part time applications will be considered.

As a service, we pride ourselves on the excellent relationships between our clinical, nursing, and management teams. We also have a fantastic working relationship with our supporting services, which includes the 'Front Door Team' (Physio/OT), Frailty Team, Specialty HOT clinics and input from associated clinical specialties.

We recognise the importance of our team maintaining specialist interests in other medical specialties. To support this, there is an opportunity for the successful candidate to receive a dedicated session offered as part of the role (1 PA). We are also keen to support professional skills and development, this could be through attendance at conferences, being an education supervisor or opportunities to lead improvement projects.

The Duties outlined below are not definitive and may be changed in accordance with the needs of the service.

Clinical Duties:
• Multidisciplinary team working is a key component of working within the Trust and involves regular MDT discussions with colleagues
• Providing evidence-based care for patients in a multidisciplinary setting
• Continuing responsibility for the care of patients in your charge, including all administrative duties associated with patient care (with secretarial support)
• Development of subspecialty interests that fit in with division needs and the strategic direction of the Trust

Management and Leadership Responsibilities:

All staff in each Division are managerially accountable through their Lead Clinician to the Associate Medical Director, who has overall responsibility for the services within the Division. Consultants are key members of the Division and are accountable and responsible for leading changes to service that will improve the patient experience.
• To support the Clinical Lead in policy and strategy development as a senior member of the Divisional Management Team.
• To contribute to the leadership and development of Services under the direction of the Clinical Lead and Associate Medical Director and in line with the Trust’s business plans.
• The post holder will ensure effective communication and involvement of staff across the Division including support to the Divisional Director to achieve their objectives.
• Work in partnership with colleagues in other Divisions within the Trust.
• As part of the Division Management Team, assist in the cost-effective utilisation of resources, including pay and non-pay items such as equipment and drugs, within budgets.
• Work within the Trust’s framework for Clinical Governance and Risk, including the development of clinical policies and adherence to standing orders, standing financial instructions and financial procedures.
• Undertake direct supervision of junior colleagues and participate in departmental/trust wide teaching programmes.

Clinical Governance and Audit

All consultants are expected to participate in clinical effectiveness activities. They are expected to maintain and foster improvements in the quality and standards of clinical services. Consultants are expected to support the Clinical/Medical Leadership teams within their division to achieve the following:
• Production of a Division annual clinical governance plan.
• Production of a Division quality strategy.
• Production of a Division quarterly report to the Trust’s Clinical Governance and Risk Committee.
• Ensuring targets within the plan are met, including:• Adoption of evidence-based practice including compliance with government guidance, e.g., NICE
• Establishment and implementation of a Division clinical audit programme

• Encouraging research and development

• Contributing to work force planning to ensure timely availability of appropriate clinical skills to maintain excellence in patient care.

What is the role?
Our nurses are responsible for coordinating and delivering end of life care to patients with life limiting illnesses. It’s all about giving our patients the best possible quality of life.

You will monitor symptom control issues and support patients in developing coping strategies for living with symptoms. Provide support for those closest to the patient, as well as providing emotional and psychological support alongside other disciplines to provide a fully holistic and multidisciplinary approach to patient care.

You must be able to demonstrate the highest standards of nursing care, be open to new ways of working, have a positive outlook, lots of initiative and work well as part of a team. We have an excellent working environment with day and night 1:4 RGN/patient staff ratios. Job Advert: Clinical Optometrist

Location: Swindon SN3
Salary: £45,000 - £52,500 (pro-rata depending on agreed hours) Possible salary increase up to £57,500 based on experience and the specific working arrangement (1 or 2 days per week).

We have an exciting opportunity for an experienced Clinical Optometrist Initially offering up to 2 days per week, this role presents a unique chance to make a significant impact in patient care, particularly in cataract assessments and consultations.

Key Responsibilities:

• Conduct cataract consultations, assessing whether patients require surgery.
• Work alongside an assistant who will prepare and pre-screen patients (including pupil dilation) ahead of the consultation.
• Each appointment will typically last 15-20 minutes.
• Provide patients with clear, understandable information about cataract surgery options, risks, and benefits, offering reassurance throughout their journey.
• Ensure post-operative management with support from medical staff.
• Opportunity for training in additional areas such as YAG laser and future qualifications like laser eye surgery.

Swindon Borough Council currently require Experienced Social Workers within the Family Safeguarding Service. The team work within pods to optimise the management, oversight and support to all Social Workers.
There are 5 Social Workers and 1 Manager per POD.
Social Workers must have with experience and skill to:
Undertake comprehensive assessments including parenting assessments in a timely way to inform development of outcome focused care plans with Children and their Families.
Undertake care proceedings within the court, both private and public.
Initiate and complete within court timescales and achieve permanency plans for children including adoption.
Understand and respond to complexity of risks and are required to evidence on records, including providing analysis of their interventions with children and families. Please note that candidates living 50+ miles from Swindon are entitled to claim a flat rate of

Work in consultation with the divisions and the Divisional Governance Facilitators to develop and embed the use of the quality metrics that are monitored, reported on an on-going basis in order to assess and develop the quality of services provided and the effectiveness of leaning responses as defined by PSIRF. 6. Lead the Patient Safety Team to work in consultation with the divisions and the Divisional Governance Facilitators to ensure that information is available in an appropriate format and timely manner, in order to support delivery on the key components of Quality Governance. Assemble and analyse quantitative and qualitative data information in ways that assist staff in reflecting and improving on service delivery and practice, which is both actionable and measurable. 7. Work in consultation with the divisions and the Divisional Governance Facilitators to ensure that constructive challenge is provided to service leads on the delivery of key governance and quality Key Performance Indicators (KPI)s / metrics, escalating to divisional management teams when targets are not met.
