• The incumbent is responsible for the design, fabrication, evaluation and documentation of instrumentation data acquisition systems, subsystems and their components in a laboratory environment.
• The incumbent is responsible for the testing, calibration, repair and modification of instrumentation data acquisition systems, subsystems, and their components.
• The incumbent will be responsible for the operation and maintenance of the laboratories, facilities, and equipment peculiar to instrumentation systems diagnostics, printed circuit board fabrication, digital recorder testing, instrumentation calibration and instrumentation test interface equipment fabrication.
• The incumbent will ensure the implementation of appropriate technical, safety and security policies.

• You will plan and accomplish work from initial layouts to final assembly through interpreting building plans, blue prints, specification, sketches and other plumbing guides/codes.
• You will perform maintenance and repair of all fixtures and piping systems.
• You will install hot and cold water piping systems in all types of buildings using copper and wrought iron pipe.
• You will install water mains and sewer lines using cement plastic pipe compound for plastic pipe, septic tanks and leach lines.
• You will issue tools, equipment, parts, procure materials, parts and tools.
• You will work in the shop repairing tools, equipment, prefabing, plumbing, and piping.
• You will cut, thread and ream pipe, ranging in size from 1/2" to 2" in diameter.
• You will operate power driven pipe threading machines, sewer augers, portable pumps, air compressors, power driven abrasive cutter, drill press, grinding machines and portable drills.

• Serves as the senior security organizational functional and technical expert for all security and information protection matters of the organization responsible for direct coordination with multiple test organizations, combined and integrated test forces, System Program Offices (SPO), defense contractors, MAJCOM and higher headquarters, foreign national partners and international test customers, and other DoD and Federal Agency security, intelligence and program management.
• Develops and prioritizes organizational security and information protection performance goals and mission objectives; develops operational procedures and plans, test security concepts and implements plans, sets priorities and objective for security personnel, assesses programs objectives, identifies problems and takes appropriate corrective action.
• Provides technical expertise to organizational management, facilities, civil engineering, Corps of Engineers and IT/Communications personnel on security systems design, equipment, secure room/facility construction and renovation, communications and data line configuration and installation, emissions and audio security requirements.
• Manages the unit Security Program, to include Special Access Program and SCI Requirements
• Subject Matter Expert on all functions of security management, including Information, Industrial, Personnel and Physical Security.
• Experience in security management compliance, physical security processes for Special Access Facilities (SAPF) and ICD 705 construction requirements.

• Reviews command and installation budget guidance and DOD and Army regulations to extract legal, regulatory and program specific budget and resource information to provide NAFI and activity managers guidance and assistance.
• Reviews activity budgets for reasonableness and complementing actions; ensures all individual budgets are coordinated to support the NAFis long range plans. Reviews and analyzes financial reports to identify trends.
• Coordinates and consolidates individual activity budgets, input to command budget estimate and cash budget into a single NAFI budget package. Monitors use of resources, identifies imbalances and recommends corrective actions.
• Performs the full range of review and analysis of budget and actual results to develop evaluative, quantitative data and methods to assess program financial performance in terms of requirements, goals and objectives.

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this Interdisciplinary Architect/Civil Engineer position, you will serve as an Architect/Engineer within the FEMA Region 9 Mitigation Division, providing technical assistance for FEMA's hazard mitigation grant programs, with the goal of reducing risk to natural hazards.

Typical assignments include:

• Providing engineering or architectural advisory services to Mitigation staff as a subject matter expert, and collaborating with FEMA staff on identifying, developing, and/or reviewing Mitigation projects for sound mitigation techniques.
• Serving as a regional expert in Benefit-Cost Analysis (BCA) using FEMA-approved software or methodologies to support cost-effectiveness determinations for potential mitigation grant projects.
• Providing technical assistance and training through formal and informal venues to grant recipients and sub-recipients on best practices for developing cost effective BCAs.
• Providing mitigation project application review support through technical feasibility, program eligibility, and cost-effectiveness for the full range of Mitigation grant programs.
• Reviewing architectural designs for sound mitigation techniques and compliance to grant program eligibility requirements.
• Suggesting solutions to accomplish mitigation goals and implementing innovative strategies for leveraging multiple funding sources (for example, leveraging funding from other federal agencies)
• Analyzing data or complex technical information from a variety of resources to prepare oral briefings and written reports for technical and non-technical audiences.

This announcement is for a position as a CORE (Cadre of On-Call Response/Recovery Employee). CORE employees are full-time employees hired to directly support the response and recovery efforts related to disasters. Employees are hired under the Robert T. Stafford Act and are excluded from the provisions of title 5, United States Code, governing jobs in the competitive service. They can be hired under a streamlined process instead of a competitive process. After three years of continuous service, Stafford Act employees may be granted competitive eligibility to apply for permanent full-time positions at FEMA.

As a Staff Nurse you will provide prescribed medical treatment and personal care services to ill and injured veterans. • Serves as a senior Budget Analyst for the San Joaquin River Restoration Program (SJRRP) supporting overall budget and planning activities.
• Manages and prepares the annual operating budget; monitors the use of funds; formulates out-year budget requests and justifications. Advises the Program Manager on budget issues and financial management oversight for the Program.
