• Manage and support design projects ensuring brand consistency throughout various projects for all Berklee brands including Berklee College of Music, Boston Conservatory at Berklee, Berklee NYC, and Berklee Valencia.

• Provide strategic insights and design concepts for institutional branding, recruitment and performance marketing initiatives that integrate typographic, photographic, illustrative, and interactive elements.

• Support the creative team as needed and collaborate with the Berklee campus community to maintain the visual consistency across the Berklee brands.

• Collaborate with the team, including project leads, copywriters, photographers, videographers, producers, and external creative resources

• Assist in building and maintaining an organized library of creative assets, including essential brand materials, photography, videography, etc.

• Demonstrate effective communication skills, strong organizational and project management skills to meet deadlines

Qualifications: 

• Bachelor’s degree in Graphic Design, Visual Communications, or related field

• Strong portfolio showcasing a diverse range of design projects

• Minimum three years of experience in higher education or media industry

• Proficiency in the Adobe Creative Suite including InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator and other relevant design tools such as PowerPoint, Keynote, and Canva, etc.

• Ability to work within established brand guidelines and concept new ideas within a brand while maintaining visual continuity across several mediums and outlets.

• Passion for design and visual storytelling

• Demonstrated ability to think creatively, conceptualize visual direction, and produce visually compelling content

As a Design Lead on the Design Capability team within the Customer Experience Organization, you will be part a dedicated team of designers, strategists and leaders who are building a community of practice for design to support an enterprise-wide initiative to deepen customer centricity throughout the bank. Education and Experience Required:

Work Arrangement:

The School of Architecture in the College of Arts, Media, and Design invites applications for a full-time non-tenure track Teaching Professor in Landscape Architecture at the rank of Assistant or Associate, with a focus on teaching fundamental site design, landform and grading, and representation. This position will be fully located on the Boston campus of Northeastern University. We seek an innovative colleague eager to contribute to the growth and creative evolution of our landscape architecture program.  

 
Responsibilities 

The full-time faculty member will be expected to teach undergraduate landscape architecture design studios and seminars at multiple levels, from introductory to advanced. In the case of advanced studios and seminars, we seek a faculty member that can build upon their rich research or creative professional practice, as well as their local and/or global experiences.

A full course load for this position is three courses per fall and spring semesters. Class formats may range between design studios, workshop courses, seminars and/or lectures. In addition to teaching, the faculty member will be expected to develop, maintain, and coordinate curricular initiatives as we begin the process of accrediting our Bachelor of Landscape Architecture program.

Rank as an Assistant or Associate teaching professor will be assessed in consideration of the candidate’s previous teaching experience and creative practice and/or research experience. In addition to teaching, all full-time faculty are expected to contribute to the cultural life and function of the program through service commitments on committees, special projects, and student advising and engagement activities. These service roles are determined based on alignments with candidate’s past experiences and profiles in teaching research and creative practice.

About the Opportunity

Summary

The School of Architecture in the College of Arts, Media and Design at Northeastern University seeks applications for the 2024-25 Design Research and Teaching Fellowship, a one-year visiting appointment that provides emerging scholars, practitioners, and advocates of the built environment with the opportunity to develop a body of design research based on a specific area of interest while contributing to the vibrant intellectual culture of the school. The position is a non-tenure track appointment at the rank of Visiting Assistant Professor and is scheduled to commence in August, 2024.

The fellowship supports teaching related to the candidate’s area of interest, as well as modest resources for the development of independent research and creative work. Fellows will have the opportunity to design new curricula for studio and seminar courses at both the graduate and undergraduate levels, as well as to teach within the School of Architecture’s core curriculum. They will be provided with opportunities to share their ongoing fellowship work with the wider Northeastern community through lectures, presentations, and exhibitions throughout the academic year. In particular, fellows are invited to engage and collaborate with the diverse faculty body within the School of Architecture, across the College of Arts, Media and Design, and with other colleges and centers across the University. Candidates from a variety of backgrounds, training, and perspectives are encouraged to apply for this position.

Responsibilities

The teaching responsibilities of the fellowship include three courses taught during the 2024-25 academic year. At least one of the courses will take the form of a research-centric design studio that builds directly on the Fellow’s research project, and provides a way for them to draw connections between their teaching, research, and creative practice. Other courses include design studios, research seminars or representation courses within the School of Architecture’s core curriculum where the Fellow’s unique perspective on the built environment will contribute towards the existing strengths of the department on areas such as sustainable design, urban ecologies, collective housing, public health, and material experimentation.  

As the culmination of the fellowship year, the Fellow will be invited to deliver a lecture as part of the School of Architecture’s public lecture series and/or to prepare an exhibition or other event that showcases the research, teaching, and/or creative work that they conducted while in residence at the school.

Qualifications

Candidates must hold a terminal degree (PhD, Master’s, or equivalent) in their proposed area of research by the appointment start date. Applicants with prior studio teaching experience are strongly encouraged to apply.

WHAT THIS ROLE WILL DO

• Performs the Load-in & out of band equipment and rental equipment
• Responsible for securing required passes and tickets and prepares guest lists under the direction of the stage Manager
• Cabling; assist audio & lighting crew as directed
• Band Set changes
• Ensure that members of the Band(s) have required items needed to perform the show(s)
• Responsible for communicating the details of the evening’s event to production crew
• Responsible for hanging show banners, updating marquees and other signage in the venue
• Responsible for coordinating the food trays for the band in the Music Hall
• Assist lighting & Audio crew as directed by Stage Manager or PM; Spotlight operation if required
• Maintenance and Repair of Sound, Light and Stage Equipment
• May assist the Stage Manager with show passes
• Maintain and secure House Backline, and supplies
• Maintain curtains, drapes, risers and other staging items
• Assist audio crew with stands, microphones, cables, etc.
• Assist lighting crew with fixtures, lambs, gels, cabling, etc.
• Operate and care for stage areas in a safe, clean manner
• Assist with any Special Events operations
• Ensure stage trash is taken out; stage swept or set up for next show when possible

WHAT THIS PERSON WILL BRING

Required:

• 3 years minimum Tour and Stage Production experience
• Experience in stage lighting, pro audio systems and basic video systems
• Ability to handle multiple projects simultaneously
• Proficiency with all Microsoft applications
• Must possess superior interpersonal communication and organizational skills
• High School Diploma

Preferred:

• College Degree

Physical Demands/Working Environment:

• Must be able to lift up to 75 lbs
• Work in an environment with moderate to loud noise level
