We are looking for a Support Worker to join our Service based in Belper, Derbyshire on a full or part time basis. We can be flexible with the number of hours offered and will consider applications from all interested candidates. Shifts will be spread across mornings, afternoons, evenings and sleep ins, weekends and bank holidays.
You will receive an enhanced flat rate payment of £62.45 for any sleep in shifts carried out. The payment for sleep ins is non-contractual.
This service is home to five individuals with various support needs and wants. The service is supported 24/7 and includes a sleep shift. There is an opportunity to work across our other services within the area.
As a Mencap support worker no day will be the same. You may be supporting someone with meal planning and preparation, household tasks such as maintaining the home, managing finances, supporting with medication, appointments, and personal care. At 48 Heath Road we specialise in supporting people who have learning disabilities, autism, and challenging behaviours. We work primarily with younger adults who have complex needs and a primary diagnosis of learning disabilities, autism, epilepsy or severe challenging behaviours. The overarching aim of our home is to provide high quality, responsive and flexible individual support, care and/or treatment programmes that are designed to meet the needs and wishes of each person we support. We’re currently searching for a fantastic Senior Support Worker to join us in leading our residential service in Chaddesden. This service is a welcoming and friendly environment with a dynamic team that supports a fantastic group of people!

As a Senior Support Worker with us you'll be helping people to gain more independence in their daily lives, whilst assisting the Manager with the day-to-day supervision and management of the service. You could be allocating shifts, booking in training, inducting new colleagues, supporting with supervision’s, ordering medication and ensuring the people we support are supported to manage their finances. You’ll never lose sight of why you choose to do this, as our Seniors are still at the heart of providing day-to-day support.

Are you an experienced HGV 1 Driver, who is looking for a No Handballing role in the Alfreton area?

Within this role you should expect to make around 2/3 drops per day, either in container or curtain sided vehicles. You will also need to make sure that vehicle checks are completed correctly and adhere to company policies.



For this role, we require the below:
A Valid Class 1 HGV Licence
A Valid UK CPC
A Valid UK Digital tacho
At least 1-year commercial experience driving Class 1’s
No more than 6 points
NO DR/DD Convictions on your licence


This is a Temporary, Ongoing role

There is also an opportunity to gain Permanent Employment with our Temp to Perm agreement.
