Your new role

We are looking for exceptional people to work with our exceptional students. We are recruiting a Residential Support Worker to work in a friendly and supportive boarding environment where your input will be key in achieving positive outcomes for our young people. Our warm and homely boarding houses allow young people to stay at Gretton from Monday to Friday during term time. Our focus is on making sure each young person feels safe and cared for. A maximum of three young people live together in a house or bungalow within the school grounds.

Working Hours:

• Early shift (45 hours) Monday 8am-4pm, Tuesday 7am-5pm, Wednesday - Friday 7am-4pm.
• Late shift (32 hours) Mon-Thurs 2:30pm-10:30pm
• Sleep in duty as required in line with Rota. Cover waking nights if required.
• Term time only

Note: Staff currently work 1 week of early shift followed by 1 week of late shift and so on. There is no requirement to work weekends or school holidays.

S enjoys being driven to different locations in order to people-watch, for example parks or town centres. KMPT Forensic services specialise in the assessment and treatment of mentally disordered offenders, serving the county of Kent and a population of approximately 1.5 million. This includes the Trevor Gibbens Unit, a 65 bedded in-patient service for mentally disordered offenders, a custody liaison and diversion service and some community services.You will become a member of the established team which provides psychology services in the medium secure and stepdown inpatient units arranged across 5 wards in Maidstone. The services provide treatment and care for men and women who have offending behaviour histories and mental health needs. The team includes clinical, counselling and forensic psychologists, as well as assistants and trainees. There are close working links within the low secure services in Dartford. The service also works closely with local Probation, Social Services, the Courts and local NHS services. About the Role

As a Support Assistant, you will play a pivotal role in supporting students aged 5-19, who have social, emotional struggles, profound and multiple learning difficulties (PMLD) and complex needs. Working closely with our dedicated teaching team, you will deliver both academic and vocational assistance, fostering students' progress in their educational and personal development. Whether supporting classroom activities, facilitating outdoor Bushcraft sessions, or guiding life skills programs, your contribution will have a meaningful and lasting impact.

In this position, you will provide essential support within a highly specialized learning environment, helping students effectively manage sensory overload, anxiety, and transitions while working towards their individual educational and personal objectives.

We are currently recruiting for a Domestic Service Supervisor, to join an inclusive and inspiring school in Cambridge. You will join an extremely rewarding place to work with a dedicated, successful and welcoming team of both teaching professionals and pupils.

Job Title: Domestic Service Supervisor
Location: Cambridge
Salary: £13.49 per hour- Permanent Role
Hours: Monday- Friday, 37.5 hours per week (either 06:00-13:30 or 07:00-14:30)
Plus, Saturdays on a rota basis (07:00-10:00. Approx. 1 in 3 Saturdays)
Availability: Immediate start date

General purpose and requirements

• Laundry Management- Ensure all laundry paperwork is completed by domestics and returned laundry and dry cleaning is checked for shortages.
• Collect Laundry invoices weekly and return to the Domestic Services Manager.
• Maintaining Cleaning Standards- Check daily the standard of cleanliness in all areas in boarding-houses and classrooms, also completing two details checks per week.
• To manage any cleaning problems, laundry discrepancies and people management issues, escalating where necessary.
• Boarding Houses- Liaise with Matrons daily about any boarding house related problems including any maintenance jobs.
• Check the quality of bedding replacements, i.e. duvets, mattresses etc. whilst also checking the cleanliness and quality of shower curtains, bathmats etc.
• Health & Safety- To check the correct usage of cleaning chemicals and ensure staff are wearing the correct PPE.
• Ensure Domestics are following C.O.S.H.H & Health and Safety Procedures.
• To check the stock levels of cleaning material and to manage the stores (stock control/ purchasing)
